It's damn huge, yes. I've since added a little glass pillar that encompasses the inner ring of that walkway, so you can't shoot straight across to the other side. You don't wanna fall down either test chamber btw, its a very long drop <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
Oh, and i had to remove the reactor from reactor observation to keep the r_speeds managable. Don't worry, IT SHALL RETURN!!!
Yeah, I find it not so cool, too. Reason: repeative textures, sprites not set to glow (cut off at walls), red alarm lights have a much to harsh and short light beam. Despite that this map is on it's way.
the textures are repetitive because they're similar areas (test chamber 1 and secondary test chamber) the rest of the map won't be so similar. I'm working on the texture alignment and other things atm, but the lights in secondary test chamber (the ones in the shaft, i've already fixed the ones above the walkway) aren't glow because you won't get close enough for them to be properly shown (unless you can't walk <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
This setting works really well for the glow effect around lights, as the glow will not become diffuse at distances and it won't get clipped by surfaces.

Once, I played an unfunny funmap with lava a silly catwalk. Everytime Aliens made suicide 2 or more marines died (had fallen into the lava).

Dimebag, that looks very good for your first try at ns mapping! I do have a few things to crit, however. Having five monitors with the same text on them looks kinda out of place. Perhaps you can make your own. The monitor with the skeleton on the left side also looks out of place, since it looks like it's an x-ray image... I'm working on the texture alignment and other things atm, but the lights in secondary test chamber (the ones in the shaft, i've already fixed the ones above the walkway) aren't glow because you won't get close enough for them to be properly shown (unless you can't walk <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

This setting works really well for the glow effect around lights, as the glow will not become diffuse at distances and it won't get clipped by surfaces.
