<div class="IPBDescription">With Michelle's parents.</div>Her dad is a bit of a sudoku nut so I bought it for him for christmas last night. I hear that he's been playing it all day, which is saying something considering he's a shift worker. He really loves it and uses the print function too. Though apparently it's using "60000 ram" (sic) which is making their computer run slow. Any performance tweaks you can suggest? It's most likely a case of their memory being clogged with spyware and other such crud. I'm heading back to my home town for a week or two for christmas so I'll be able to have a look at it then.

More minions for the Cleveland empire! Woo!

Are you not meant to give people Christmas presents on Christmas? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

Hrmm... I remember there were some performance issues in 0.95 & and 0.96, but those got fixed in 0.97 and we haven't had a complaint over on the zenofsudoku.com forums since.

A bit more information on the specs of his computer could be helpful. Also, you may want to ask him if it ran any better the second time round: I'm wondering if the way ZoS pregenerates around 90 puzzles (20 for each difficulty, 10 for the tutorial) the first time it is run could of had any effect on his performance.
