<div class="IPBDescription">Party time</div>Hey guys,
Just a quick note to let you know that Zen of Sudoku is done! The game is actually everything I wanted it to be and I'm really happy with it.
I got it working on Steam this week as well and it will be launching there first. After that it should start showing up on some other big portals. I have no idea how well it's going to do but I'm optimistic!
I will update the version at www.zenofsudoku.com shortly, as soon as I'm sure it won't require any fixes or tweaks.
Thanks for your help and support everyone!

Where would one buy it so as to ensure maximum profit for the Mr. Cleveland?

Y'hear, Flayra? You could be breaking up Scythe and Michelle! That's a lot of responsibility. Let's hope your Sudoku game is good, or we're going to have to console a weeping Australian for months to come.
And people say games don't matter. Hah! Serious business folks.

Congrats!

I'd imagine the UWE/ZOS portal.
I might be considering buying this for a few Sudoku lovers for Christmas, hoping to get them off those unfashionable pencil&paper antiquities and on to a good-looking (and good-playing) Sudoku game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
But still, congratulations, and I hope it sells well for you.

Most of us have relatives that would be into this and I'm confident that anyone that uses a mouse can learn how to play Sudoku with this game, or can learn some new strategies (like swordfish, locked candidates, naked pairs, etc.) through the hint/explain system.
So even if you can't buy a copy, feel free to download the trial and go to Extra -> Tell a Friend to tell as many people as you can think of about it. Word of mouth is really huge for us and plus each friend becomes a little butterfly you can play with on the main menu. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Look for it on Steam soon as well!
Impressive detail. I also heard the print function is awesome by the way.

Or almost as cool as my first time on original NS as a marine - wactch out for that Fade!
Looking forward to NS2 too!
(Max wrote the print feature in Zen btw, which is which it rocks so hard)
It looks like it might be on Steam before we know it. As in, days. I sure hope so!

Days!? wow
Sorry, I normally have no complaints, but this is driving me nuts!
I might pick this up in a few days (one I get my next pay check)
Not to whine (I guess I've done enough of that for 0.98, to no avail), but I just downloaded 1.0, and it looks like you've taken another step backwards: Not only does the number mode <i>not </i>restrict you to placing the "active" number (same as when you made the change for 0.98), but it now also <b>turns off</b> number mode if you change a pencil mark other than what's active. It's hard enough to click the right pencil marks as it is without kicking you out of number mode every time you mis-click. What's the point of even having number mode then?

Hey ZRock,
Sorry you hate the new system. I admit that if you're used to the old way number mode works this could be a step down. However, you didn't have to watch scores of people struggle with number mode. It would go something like this:
1. Person starts game for the first time
2. Person clicks revealed number by accident, now is in number mode, though they didn't realize what this meant
3. Person suddenly can no longer place any number BUT this number
4. Person gets frustrated and quits the game
The basic UI has to be super-simple or they'll never get over the hump, so I made the decision to err on the side of simplicity in this case. Sorry!
No worries though, I don't regret buying it. Glad it's working out well- I just saw it on Steam ($9.95!). Hope you still get a decent chunk of that, since it's cheaper there than through the ZoS site...
<edit> Just saw it on the front page of the Steam "store" under "spotlight". It's actually 10% off the regular $9.95 price </edit>
