You want to segregate NS even further? With the pitiful number of NS servers to choose from already, I'm not sure we can afford to block good players from certain servers.

Also, ou don't learn from only playing against bad players. Sometimes you need to play (and lose a few times) against better players to learn new tricks too!

Since the majority of players can't really learn that well and get frustrated easily, it would be much better to keep them happy playing against each other. If they want to get better, they should have the choice to play against tougher opponents, not forced.

Segregation is the only thing that makes sense, since there are so many complaints about how there is too much individual skill involved in the game, when it is really just knowledge and experience that dictate the capabilities of each player.

In the topic that I made (link), I mention that the degree of segregation should depend on the success of NS2. NS1 is pretty stagnant, there's not much excitement left about it now. NS2 can draw many new players. Some of them will be quick to excel at the game. Most will learn slowly and gradually. If you can keep the majority happy, they will stay and let their friends know about the game. Otherwise, you'd either have a dumbed down version of the game or skilled players ruining the experience for new players.

Keep the pro players pushing the game to its limits by giving them rewards and opportunities for glory. Keep the average and new players happy, but give them the opportunity to go to the next level of play if they desire it.
