Well, i don´t think that vista is the best choice for a name. Lets have a look what urbandictionary says to this: Urban dic.

For all the bitching that the penguin-lovers have been putting up, time for a realists POV...
Personally, I can't wait for "Longhorn", or "Vista" to go gold, and ship to the world. Anything that Microsoft has produced since Windows 95 has had a rough time, but has ultimately proven to be a success. Not because the software is flawed in any way, no, but because of the END USERS. They are the real ****ups in the world, not the software, or the people who probe the holes in the operating system, but the people who actually use the PC. When the fanboys realise that it's not actually Microsoft's fault that their software is hit by just over 110000 viruses at the current time. Only about 10000 of them at the most are viruses that cannot be stopped by user intervention. The remianing hundred thousand or so are counting on the one weak link in the system.
The Almighty ****up.
The End User...
It's these ruthless bastards that come along, and download their crap from the internet, from Peer to Peer networks, and actually open every single flipping attachment, without any regard for any potential damage.
Then it's up to us guys, the heroes. Those of us in Tech Support, who have to mop up the filthy flipping remains of these PCs, and what little is salvageable of their data, AND the flipping random porn that caused the flipping problem in the first flipping place.
Even after we clear up the mess, and get it back up and running, IT'S STILL OUR flipping FAULT FOR NOT TELLING YOU TO NOT OPEN AN ATTACHMENT THAT READS "I AM A VIRUS.EXE". Jesus-flipping-Christ, you bunch of twats. You never taught how to flipping read?!
Argh, i'm ranting, people have warned me not to rant...
Anyhoo, just from the screeny that Caboose has provided us, if they ramp the security up in the new Windows release, then it should be a good thing, as it'll make the end users even more aware of the damage they're going to do to their PC...
Before all you penguin-lovers jump on me, it's not just Windows users who get viruses, I have to disinfect plenty of Linux boxes too. You lot are just as flipping thick as the Windows End Users...
*edit replace flipping with the f-bomb, and you get what kind of mood evangelical Linux-fanbois put me in*
Windows Vista isn't worth the money to buy. It seems like it has no "exceptional" features so far. And with the on coming of Apple, why spend the effort.
That gives me an idea. Since Apple is going x86, and OSX is a *nix based OS, it should theoretically be able to play Windows games with the aid of wine/cedega. This was impossible before because of the differances in PPC and x86 arcitecture, but now, it should be possible.
We will still see a performance drop which will still make Windows the better OS for gaming unless programmers code against Windows which I can not see happening.

What? OSX? Er... it already exists ? Theyve said it's existed since OSX existed, they've just been waiting to make the switch.
