Give it a few years, our numbers grown exponentianly every year, we can have a mass protest at the media lies.

y'know what'd make fun TV? A show about how <b>not</b> playing videogames will make you violent. It'll use the nazis, medieval empires and the wars taking place around the world as obvious evidence because there weren't any video games back then.
Do drug users who mug people play video games? No they can't afford it!!! It's obviously the fact that they don't play video games that's leading to their drug addiction and violent behaviour!!! :o

I smell television awards here people! Think of the RATINGS!!!

Nah... we just need to point out other stupidly obvious statistics, like "Over 98% of the people in the UK who have been diagnosed with cancer have, at some point in their lives, <i>been to a center of education!</i>" or "80% of people involved in car crashes have been known in the past to <i>drive cars!</i>" or something.

They can whine about video games all they want but we'll own them, we'll own them hard.

You know, the media wants to get rid of video games completely, yet the more they publicise them, the more people are going to buy them.

True, very true, BAN ALL BREAD!

About the video games making people violent, it's just another excuse to bad parenting/bad kids. Although video games may give some "ideas" to certain people, it wouldn't matter if they played video games or not, they're going to do what they're going to do anyway, might need ideas.

So say somebody is going to kill somebody. He got an idea of killing the person from a video game, but the thing is, even if he didn't play the game or so, he was going to do it anyway. So video games do not make anyone violent or evil or whatever. It's the people who make themselves violent or evil.

The demonization of new media, while frustrating, is hardly a new thing. It's historical with all forms of new media. What worries me right now though is who rules the roost in American politics. Video game violence strikes me as an issue the Republicans would love to use to boost their image of being the people who bring morality back to America. But then again, the industry has turned into a billion dollar one so....

Being <i>alive</i> causes cancer, there's no real evidence to support it, but it's scientific FACT.

I get bonus points for a rip on Quanaut while still making a sarcastic remark about how they treat video games.

    Sig'd.

Edit: Realize folks, those scenarios are all from: TV, Movies, Books, Graphic Novels, or the News.
