Battlefield 2 Is Out, And I Have It.

Overall the game is totaly awesome. I do love the mobile AA, I racked all my tank awards from it. It's a rolling death machine, faster than a tank, more equipped than an APC. I can mow down any anti tank people before they get a shot off.

Too bad I'm leaving today for three days, so I can't play. Oh well. I have lost all the awards I got (didn't keep), but I'll be back to play for them again. I guesss the fact I'll be in a theme park for three days watching a tons of bands play isn't that bad of a thing compared to Bf2...


Anyone notice the intro video is a good promo for the actual gameplay in the game?

Damn,on second thoughts BF2 needs spawn protection. On 1 demo game today,a boat camper camped the boat docks for about 5 minutes.

It can, but I don't get further than the menu.

I had to use some dxTweaktool to get THAT far though, EA ***hats.

Geforce 4's dont support Pixel shader 1 which is required. Not their fault that your card is getting seriously outdated.

I did read it didn't support GF4, though before I buy a X1001 or FX1337 I tried testing with tweaks. I'll just replace this "sin" in my beige box.

there is two spawn points on teh carrier...one is down below one is up top....spawn up top with anti tank look over the rail and kill him...

The explanation I've heard about graphical woes is that BF2 <i>requires</i> a DX 9 native card, <i>period</i>. I think I remember reading that the minimum RAM was something around a gig, but I was a bit too suprised at the time to double check that.

Trying to roll with a GF4 these days is just silly anyways.

You can play the game fine with half a gig of ram, but the maps load a hell of a lot quicker with more.

For example, i have a gig and a half of ram and the maps load pretty damned quickly. Quicker than HL2 does, at any rate.

I have 1 gig of RAM and the maps normally load in under 40secs on the demo and I heard performance only improves with the full version so I wouldn't worry.

My 9600 XT runs this thing with precision and care, I never drop below 40 FPS with medium settings... (No shadows. I hate shadows.)

Anyhow, I still have to ponder over something, every game, I suck hard. (NO NOT THAT WAY.) I mean, I'm constantly being killed, but I always end up in the silver spot... Why?

Anyway I bought the DVD version and I can't find the GOD DAMNED CD KEY!

It says it should be in "a little white box on the lower left on the back of my DVD case" well guess what!? It isn't!

Can anyone who bought it already enlighten me as to where the hell they hid the CD key!?

Wow. I just installed it, and it runs like a dream in all it's glorious 1280 x 960 pixels with AA and all that jazz... Too bad <b>the EA servers suck balls because their rankings lag like a bastard!</b>

Until they fix that, I'm staying away...

Edit: I have the DVD version too, <b>reasa</b> - it's at the back of the manual.

Yes Roberto,except that BF has:

*Snipe campers.
*Air bomb campers.
*And you really know when ur being owned cos both the above happen.
*Boat campers also,the demo map has a great US boat camp spot under the ship.

BF however rewards kills,mostly cos they r SO DAMN RARE to get. Unless you're a camper of course,or if you work well as a team. I think teamwork plays a bigger role in BF2 than any other BF.

I'm guessing all those amazing rainbow colours are where the pixel shaders are supposed to come in. Only oh yeah, Geforce 4 doesnt support them.
