Anyone else ever get them?
Maybe it's been fueled by some random dream and a lot of overthought... but it's getting kinda freaky now.
For the past week or two I've been having dreams about major disasters. Of course by this I mean nightmares. Most of the time I wake up in the morning and can't remember a thing (i hear we dream all the time at night and don't remember most of it) but lately i've been remembering more and more.
A few car crashes, giant lightning bolts, atomic blasts, a whole night where i kept dreaming I was drowning...
I've also been having a bit of trouble getting to sleep, been sleeping less, etc.
Has this ever happened to anyone?

I hardly dream, ever. Or atleast I can't remember having any.
Nope,I don't have weird dreams.
-me going to wallmart, getting a deck of cards (jumping ontop of the shelf), finding out that they were $10, and not wanting them [dream ends]
-3 guys were climbing up a tube with water pouring down it, and the lead guy had a baby shark on a leash (that was jumping and barking like a dog). The 2 guys behind him got eaten, and the dream ended with the shark running back to the other guy.
-I was sitting on my bed, and my parents asked me if I was sure I wanted to do this, and I told them that it was my life and I didn't want it. Then, I put a gun to my head, and pulled the trigger. Like slow motion, right before the bullet hit my head, I decided I didn't want to die, and my dream ended.
-I broke into some sporting goods store, going in the rafters, and some security guard was there, and the whole building changed into an office, and I calmly walked out... Yeah, and there was a washer and dryer in the back.
Especially involving zombies, yes I know the moaning feet shufflers
I am in my dreams mostly holed up in some really high building that is under construction and can see other survivors, helicopters and stuff.
Sometimges I have a rifle and use it to try and save some people running from zombies.
The worst part is I left my pc on last night cos I was downloading, and it's got a few blue cathode lights on so in the dark it makes my room an eerie shade of blue, this was exactly the same colour of the asylum. Took me a few minutes after I woke up to realise where I was.
More thrilling dreams next post!
The end of an Eon
Its the end of the world.
The Neptune is passing by the earth in a very close distance and when this happens, all energy will be sucked out of earth, everything, will freze, all living beings will die, ect.
And we can do nothing about it. We knew it would happen eventually, but we don´t have the technology yet, to avoid our fate.
So me and a part of my family, namely my parents and my grandmother of my fathers line are walking through a wood to get a good view at the spectacle.
We walk along a parth, it is very cold, snow falls and has already piled along both sides of the way.
My father points out to the sky and there is see it, it is like hole in the sky, a back, quivering object, roughly around the size of a tennis ball, clearly be seen by daylight.
Its very hard to look at it, i feel weakened and get dizzy, so i look to the ground and continue my way.
After some time i look again and the planet has risen to the size of a basket ball.
Again the feeling, but this time much stronger, i almost get nauseus.
Suddenly there is a tremble in the earth and a part of the path we are walking on slides down a few metres the will. (we were climbing some high point)
On this landslide is my grandma. My parents don´t seem to be affected by it, they´re like: shes going to die anyway, so why help her? adn continue walking to our spot.
I jump down the landslide and help my grandmother. Somehow she has lost her warm coat so i lend her mine, so that she wouldn´t freeze before it is time.
When i climb up on the path i notice she is gone.
It is now freezing cold and i feel the chill deep into my bones.
As i look at neptune its about 5 times the diametre of the moon, filling about 1/3rd of the sky.
I can now see the surface, blue and untouched and over it is a black cloud, wioch is very inconsistent, just like a giant swarm of locusts, enveloping arund 2/3rds of the planet.
I get almost unconcious by the look, i feel all my life is sucked out of me.
I force myself to look back at the way and crouch forward.
Suddenly i feel a cold as if a giant icicle id rammed in my back, i know that this is the end and the world fades to black.
Yes, i get those quite frequently ^^
Depends how old you were when they were watching you sleep. If a parent is watching their twenty-something-year old sleep, that's a bad thing.

Im talking 17-18 years old, and they didnt WATCH me sleep, I used to keep odd hours and it would bother them
While it's pretty awesome, it's still apocalyptic, and thus counts.
Emo dreams HAHAHAHAH....... yea....
Along with that I used to have some awesome night terrors.
It felt like a cartoon movie or somthing, one by one my family got eaten, then I did, and I woke up.
I think I wrote it down some where to make a movie out of later in my life.
But a apocalyptic dream I had was kinda cool, I was walking to a Y shaped intersection in a hall carrying a m4a1 and wearing a swat-style uniform, and all of a sudden zombies bust in from all kinds of doors. For some reason, my m4 had infinity ammo and i just mowed them all down. Was pure awesome.
Unfortunately, where I come from, violent gang skirmishes happen a lot and people do die from crossfires.
I wanna dream about massacring dozens and dozens of zombies!
I had anightmare about the magic roundabout, I can't remember most but I was screaming "NO ZEBEDEE NOOOOO" in my sleep. Which woke up my mum.
Is not apocalyptic
It's quite minimal
Worse dream I ever had was one I had after watching Bladerunner and reading some Dan Abnett
I was a cop in like, Detroit, thirty years in the future, me and my partner got called to some Domestic disturbance issue in one of the Arcologies, so we get there, entire damn place is deserted, so me and my partner are riding up an elevator, we hear screaming so we rush down this hallway, partner goes to the door, knocks on it, all of a sudden there's a high pitced whine coming from the other side, the door explodes and something blows my partner's head apart.
So I storm in, there's this little fat guy in a suit COVERED in blood staring at me with a Railgun pointed at me. I black out somehow, wake up and see said fat guy crucifying some lady to the wall with knives, and then I woke up.
Rattled me pretty bad.
Wew, still gives me the chills.
Acrid smoke fills my nostrils and billows into the sky createing it's own form of eerie clouds across the darkened sky.
I don't know whether it is night or day, the smoke is all consuming and the ruins of the city dominate my view.
I'm walking slowly on a cobblestone road and on ether side of me are crosses, people are nailed to them in various positions.
Many are still alive crying out in agony, others moan solemnly, some are resigned to their fate and silently twist and writhe from the pain.
Some part of me wants to help but there are too many, the crosses stretch on for miles leading up the city ruins.
The landscape is barren, an arid wasteland long devoid of any life.
I walk on for hours, maybe days; time does not exist in this place.
When I arrive at my destination, the ruins of the once great city, I weep, for I remember what once had been.
I take a deep breath and regain my composure, emotions well only hinder me on this journey, I must remain numb if I am to return alive...return to what I do not know.
I take my first step into...The Discussions Forum.
Anyhow, about that surpressed white-noise, what you're hearing is the blood in your ears being cycled. Same thing scared me shitless for about five years.
That said, I had a dream a few nights ago that came pretty close. I don't remember details, but it involved a team of sci-fi marines attacking some facility infested by zombies (which kinda resembled a department store), weapons not working as expected, one soldier getting captured (yes, the zombies actually took her prisoner, for some reason) and it was implied that she was beaten\tortured\interrogated. You know, like in movies where you don't actually see whatever it is take place and your imagination does the work instead (I'm aware of the irony ). There was this huge arena with a gaping hole in the ground (which lead to the empty vacuum of space, I think), which it was implied that prisoners were butchered for sport or executed in.
So... yeah. Very depressing. I guess it doesn't sound like much written down like that; it's one of those things you had to be there to see (and if you were: how? )
Last night (in my dream), I was making a casserole entirely out of two layers of mince. The top layer was molded into the shape of various US states.
YAY!
