holding forward when bhopping doesnt slow you down. you go the same speed if you bhop with forward key or without. just strafe jump left and right or you can "Glide"
gliding is strafe jumping one direction and then curving to the other direciton.
it really makes nodifference if you hold forward
the only reason you shouldnt hold forward, is to see if you can actually bunnyhop without it. if you start slowing down if you dont hold forward, then you arent timing your jumps correctly. its nice to not need forward, but strafe jumping is much more maneuverable than bunnyhopping.
No. After your initial jump where you "take off", release forward and dont hold it again. It DOES make a difference. If you say otherwise, read those manuals, think of it some, and then practice it.

i play TFC, the home of the bhopping skill, in STa 5on5 gold. i know what im talking about. IT does not matter if you use forward just dont hold it the whole time. since i have to use the spacebar for bhopping in natural selection, i prses forward and strafe key right before i jump, and then release the forward key after a fraction of asecond. Holding forward just makes it so you cant glide. it doesnt disable strafejumps.
If you actually know how to strafejump, holding forward makes no difference when you bhop. But i do see waht you mean. New players may not know how to strafejump, which would make them the normal speed, not a slower speed.

Im not sure what to do.
Like, how do you put it in the config.cfg and then what to do after?
Im a n00b at this whole bunny hop thing.
Play the game, pull down console, and type:
<!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->bind mwheelup +jump
bind mwheeldown +jump<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I think that's it. I'm not certain about the name of mousewheel down, though.
Edit: Corrected bind.
mwheeldown
