    For one, it doesn't increase your agility at all. It makes you go faster....forward. And you were probably holding forward, which you shouldn't do. Strangely enough, that slows you down.

    so i just tap space over and over without holding forward?

    In NS, you have to hold crouch to bhop as skulk, to avoid sticking to the floor.

    To bunnyhop, you have to understand the concept of the strafejump, which is holding a side-direction and jumping....a bunnyhop is a series of strafejumps, not a forward jump.

    Youll need this. I use this and my mousewheel. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    alias hop "+jump; wait; -jump; wait"
    alias +jumps "hop;hop;hop; +jump; wait"
    alias -jumps "-jump; wait;"

    Shove it in your config.cfg then bind your jump key or mwheel to hop. It will give you 3 jumps when you order one so you don't have to get the timing split second.
    For practice try putting ns_nothing on and bunny hopping around viaduct. Try turning the gravity off entirely to practice your strafing. Just by holding down lft or rgt and strafing the mouse you will see yourself accelerate in the air. Put the grav back on, but to 400 instead of 800. This will give you a little bit longer to press those keys before the next jump. Once you have the movements smooth put it back to 800 and just hop round from gen to via and back a few times.

    When you bunnyhop be sure to hold crouch down, do not hold forward down, and alternate strafe keys in the direction you bhop.

    Acctually you don't need it. Not even speaking of the no script alias servers. For me personally it's alot easier just using MWheel. When I bunnyhop I just keep scrolling down at the right moment and 95% of the time I don't miss.

    If you learn to bhop without scripts you get MUCH more flexibility and control. It's worth it.

    There's an ns map out there... something like ns_bunnyhop. It's got ideal spots to practice and walls covered in instructions.

    Or, bind that jump script to your mousewheel.

    // jumps

    alias hop "+jump; wait; -jump; wait"
    alias +jumps "hop;hop;hop; +jump; wait"
    alias -jumps "-jump; wait;"

    bind space +jump
    bind mwheelup +jump
    bind mwheeldown +jumps

    //end jumps

    This way on bs_1 servers you can still use your mousewheel, but if you happen to stumble into a bs_0 server you get the 3jump benefit that pretty much everyone else in the room is using.

    And if you were wondering, all that jump script does is spam the jump command so you can concentrate on the movement of bhopping and not so much the timing.

    I know what a jump script does, as does everyone else. I also know what a mousewheel binding does. But my mousewheel is taken. (Ever spammed a negligent comm with "Need orders" to get a res node? 200 requests in two seconds, AW YEAH!)

    In any case, I use my THUMB. AND NO SCRIPT. I don't do well, but I do have a bhop, and sometimes, it's nice to be able to say "I don't use any scripts."

    Know what I mean?

    don't bind triplejump to mousewheel, it spams jump way too much and gets backlogged

    No no no, you bind "+jump" to mousewheel and spam it. You bind "3jump" to a key (space, ctrl, etc).

    I use mousewheel and a 3jump, I just do one click of the wheel.. I've noticed this helps me when I bunnyhop without a script.. cause I still only do one, nicely timed, click.

    I'm not saying I'm just as good without the script, but a good 80% of my jumps are perfectly timed.

    This isn't about scripting/anti-scripting, guys. I'm as bad as the next guy about that, but JEEZ. Enough of the hostility. Everyone plays their own way, and does so to the best of their ability. Some people choose not to script, some people choose to. It's the same as hacking or not, but with less drama, and less people who care.

    SO LAY OFF AND HELP THE POOR MAN BHOP!
