<div class="IPBDescription">FX compared to 6 series</div> Okay my current card is a BFG GeForce FX 5500 OC, and the card im getting is a XFX GeForce 6800. All in all i paid 90 bucks out of my own pocket for this card. $240 for card/delivery, 30 dollar mail in rebate, and i just got money in snail mail from my grandpa for my sponsership. (Computer gaming Sponsership money; lol i get paid to play!!!)

Anyway, i worked the math, i paid 90 bucks for the card out of my own money.

First questions is this card worth it? I can overclock it on a 4X AGP slot cant it? Dell Deminsion 8250?

Second question is, will i notice the difference from my current FX 5500?

You should notice a remarkable improvement over the 5500, mainly due to the core speed of the 6800. I know I did.

As for overclocking the agp slot, that I have no idea as I am uber geek hardware person.

Yes it's worth it. Is it just a standard 6800?

There's real little profit from OC'ing your graphic card, I'd think.

Standard yes, i was going to get the ultra, but i didnt have the money in which to use on it, im trying to save for a car... Theres a nice mustang down the street for sale, and the guys holding it for me.

    Edit:

Knowing that; and knowing that Overclocking doesnt do much, i know i did that to my old GeForce MX 400, should i use XFX's drivers or Nvidia's drivers?

Use the latest drivers from Nvidia, they are most definately updated to reflect the best performance from th 6600 and above. I know I have gained at least 10% - 20% increase in various games just on updating the drivers.

    With regards to the slot...

Most AGP3.0 (8x, if you will) will work in a standard AGP2.0 slot (4x), but, they will not receive the full bandwidth that the card can use, so the card will be bottlenecked by the AGP port. The card will work, but not at its full potential.

Should you upgrade to an AGP3.0 motherboard, then you'll see a second improvement in the graphics potential of your PC.

Finally, always use the nVidia drivers, they get updated more regularly, and will fix bugs faster than the manufacturer's drivers will.

Also, don't bother overclocking the graphics card, you don't have the slot for it. When you get an AGP3.0 slot, then you can think about overlocking it. Don't resort to OC'ing something, until it can't go any faster at stock speeds.
