Same technology? JK's engine was used for JK and JK alone.
What confuses me is that you're comparing the AI of a space combat game to that of a first person shooter (and one with AI that was completely unremarkable either way).

That's something one would use as a benchmark (either for good or bad AI), please make more sense.
JK's AI was far superior to aforementioned games. (Even though they were based on the same technology, I should have mentioned that)
What confuses me is that you're comparing the AI of a space combat game to that of a first person shooter (and one with AI that was completely unremarkable either way).
The way the AI target you in JK is the same as the one in Shockwave, but one exception, they can't hit you in Shockwave.. even if you stand still.
(its not a space combat, its on the ground like an fps, just with ships, that hover without flapping)
