( *** NOT A RELIGIOUS DEBATE ***)
Ok, now this is not a thread to start a religious debate and if it ever goes down this way, I want moderators to lock it or delete it.
This is about something I just heard on radio and by the sounds of it, Religious theme games are geting popular not because they are being played by "true believers" but because of the game quality.
They are built by the company N'Lighting from http://www.n-lightning.com/
Apparently they have solde over 80,000 game machines and are in discussion to release it for the Play Station 3. They said the game is without violence and full of humour. Alot of money was invested into this.
My first thoughts about this is that I wouldn't play it. But my curiosity was hit when I started learning about their supposed high quality and popularity. I haven't seen any graphics from it but that doesn't mean that I will start looking for an arcade having such a machine.
I'm just curious about how it realy looks and wonder if they will survive 5 years.
Has any of you guys ever seen one or played it ?
What do you thing of it ?
Remember, I DO NOT want religious debates. Stick with the subject of this thread.
Just give me a player/developer's point of view on this.

Visit Ancient Egyptian tombs, a Japanese Fortress, and navigate a Scottish Castle.

I wonder how accurate they are...
*edit*
There is "some" violence, but no one dies, unless you count having the spikes smash you into the ground because you are too slow. Also, I didn't see a life meter per say.. but the weapon I had.. shot "magic balls of fire that do no damage to the one attacker I met.
Graphics aren't bad. :-)
You should probably cross The Sims off that list, if you take into account the malevolence of most of the people playing it.
There is the whole drowning peeps and making insane rollercoasters that usually cause the trains to fly off and explode in a ball of flames for RCT too.
*reinstalls*
edit: dammit wrong quote.
I wouldn't mind games with religious themes except I'm sure they couldn't be reviewed accurately as too many people would have too much invested in them.
Besides, surely games like Black&White, Populas, Messiah, Gods of War etc count as religion based?
::EDIT::
I have a copy of Black & White I got for free. Cool, huh?

Silly mother.

I liked that game, even if I only played it for 45 minutes.

Yeah but their whole family is like that. His parents went to see the exorcist, but halfway through the movie, they got up and left, because of "content".
Like how Jesus is a reverse-vampire/zombie/space alien?
Lazurus was the zombie.
John the Baptist was the space alien.
"Nice little city of you have.. OH MY FINGER SLIPPED, now you are all on fire!"
"No creature! Don't cast miracle water on the burning populace! THEY BELIEVED IN ANOTHER GOD!"

Heh. If only it stayed as good after a few months as it was after the first 45 minutes...
