i forgot the move name but its the one where the guy is telling the story of something that happened.. a crime of sorts that he was a "witness too" and all throughout hes faking this limp.. like when hes telling the cop his story in the office.. then at the end when he walks out of the building hes gimping along and slowly starts to walk normally to his ride.. and then it goes back to the cop whos in his office looking at the wall and realizes who the guy is.. no use because the guy is long gone..
saw this move a long time ago so i dont remember the details.. just that it made me go "holy ****"

Return of the King, Faramir's charge across the Pelenor Fields. Closest I've ever been to crying about a movie. That scene HURT me in my gut. I've always hated useless sacrifice, especcially that of lives. What made it worse is that he went willingly, because he was loyal, and it was his only way of proving it.
It's hard for me to stomach that, when someone feels that the only way they can earn the love and understanding of someone is by giving their life for it, and proving their loyalty.
in The Matrix, when Neo outruns the agents and was just make it to the phone but takes a couple of DE rounds and cant withstand it and dies, got me "woa". Then the totally opposite feeling as it turnd out Trinity used the ILOVEYOU virus to revive him. I still think the whole love part destroyed it all.

Ok so technically its not a film or even a TV show (Black Adder Goes Forth ending FTW) but the end of Call of Duty when you lead the storming of the Riechstag, holding position untill the tanks roll up and put down the machine gun nests, then charging across the square with bullets zipping past, bursting through doors and moving as fast as you can through the rooms to get to the roof then as you get up there, the heroic music swells and some guy is waving the Hammer and Sickle flag. Best game ending ever, pure cinema.
Lost in Translation - not that it did anything but make me smile, but when the end comes without any sledgehammer symbolism, done-to-death kissing scenes or for that matter pretending the movie had any point at all - it was a relief, like peeing out an entire 5 liters of coke at once. Kind of like in an indy french film when the fat chick finally shuts the **** up.
Come to think of it, the beginning of La Face Cachee de la Lune is just plain awesome. One of my favorite movies anyway.

I can't believe it isn't here....
The final lightsaber duel between Vader & Luke in Return of the Jedi. When anger overtakes Luke to defend his sister from being preyed upon by the Emperor & Vader.
Also....
Leon - 2nd post, damn right. My favourite film of all time to date.
The Matrix - Before the Brothers get it into their head they should do martial arts, they had a good thing going with the gunplay in the (now infamous) lobby.
Transformers : The Movie - The fight between Optimus Prime & Megatron. Hell, the whole damn film still rocks.
Fight Club - Agreed with reasons given.
Boondock Saints - Just perfectly done, and never given the credit this film deserves.
Bladerunner - I hope you're all ashamed of yourselves this hasn't been mentioned. If you've never watched it, stop whatever you're doing, and get to the video store. Now.

Since games moments have been mentioned, I'm going to have to chime in with the Dawn Of War intro.
That thing is just amazing. Every time I see it I want to join in with the battlecries. It's not a "aww they're dead " feeling but it's a definate "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

o yeah. there's armaggedon, the scene when b4 the asteroid blows up or around there somewhere. the two towers also left a deep impression. especially the part where Gandalf charged down onto the uruk-hai at helms deep with all the cool bright light.
Titanic when Leonardo Di Caprio dies, could we have wished for a happier ending?

Jurassic park,
Where the T-rex comes in and saves the day by killing the two raptors. Which are actually deinonychus, since Veloci raptors are not much taller then your average dog.
Akira,
The scene where they get on their bikes and start rolling (beginning of the movie)
Ghost in the Shell,
The scene where motoko is chasing a terrorist and he uses high velocity armor piercing rounds in his P90 sub-machinegun, which push him back due to the force and could blow up his weapon.
LOTR (2 scenes actually),
The scene where Legolas kills of everything on the big beast, to finally kill it. And then Gimli stands there and says "You know that still counts as one"
The scene where Gimli and Legolas have a drinking contest.
