Umm...
I recently picked up the Doom Collectors Edition and it came with Doom 1 through Final. I thought I would check out Doom Finals last level, and it was horrifying.
Seriously, is it just a cruel joke?
Has anyone here ever beat it...?
If so id like some pro tips.

Now THAT'S scary.
Plutonia is still worth the pain, though, for some truly incredible levels. The one that has you running away from a ton of archviles in a huge maze is both absolutely flipping brilliant and sadistic at the same time.
As for the images, try ImageShack.
And while you're still into it, try Doom 64. It's basically a happy medium between Doom 1/2 and Doom 3, making what is IMO the best version of Doom yet.

Doom 64 was me and my dads favorite game for N64, we played it all the time.
You are thinking of the last level of Doom 2. You beat it by jumping onto a platform and launching rockets into the "brain" of the wall monster.
The head on the pike is John Romero's and the sound you hear at the beginning of the level is "To win the game you must kill me, John Romero played backwards.
