Oh no. No you don't. Human life is sacred because people choose to call it sacred. No religion has to tell me to value human life. I choose not to kill people because I value their time on earth just as I value my own, empathetically speaking.

Now that's not fair. Saying religion caused pretty much any wars is like saying being german was the cause of WW2. Religion hasn't caused any wars, dispite the fact that it was often used as propultionary tatic (people wanted X objective, so they told thier soldiers that it is gods plan/will/agenda)
War is highly against the principle of pretty much every religion, including christianity and islam.
It has caused wars. In fact it caused a very nasty one.

I think it had more to do with the pope being a giant assbandit and ordering all "loyal" christians to go defend the holy city, when they had left it to it's own devices for centuries untold before then.
But this thread has nothing to do with that.
