It will be even faster next time. On FFR signups last under a minute. We're definatly doing 2 signup phases from now on.

Yup. I fixed that problem realll quick.

LISTEN UP, GUYS: Once upon a time, I had missed a whopping three TWG sign-ups in a row. I got so ****, I PM'd every TWG regular and threatened that I would go absolutely bonkers if I didn't make the next game. You know what happened?
At the next sign-up everyone I PM'd refrained from signing up to make sure I made it in.

Moral of the story? Death threats are your friend if you really really REALLY want to make it.
