General Electric 5 button optical mouse. Love it.

Razer Diamondback treats me absolutely great..

Logitech has what they call the FIRST laser mouse (not optical, laser), but the Diamondback still reads faster than the logitech. great sensitivity, good weight, smooth handling. decent button functionality (2 extra on left, 2 extra on right)

I'm thinking I may need to update my mouse... My current one serves me well but the reading speed sometimes is a little low and will cause random movement when used too quickly.

I hear the MX1000 isn't very good with games due to some things with the laser or something.

Yeah, get the MX510. It's the win. Works good for games and other stuff. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Bought an MX1000, it lasted a full month in my house before I took it back & went back to my Intellimouse v2. Go figure.

If you want the MX1000 Features, but don't want a wireless mouse, go for the MX518

It has the ability to change dpi settings just by pressing a button, so you can change it so that you have high-sensitivity in games, and low sensitivity in windows. 3 Settings: 400dpi, 800dpi and 1600dpi

ok questions... Can someone help me find the current DPI on my intelimouse optical USB POS?

    looks like this:
    <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=004' target='_blank'>http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseand...ls.aspx?pid=004</a>

notice how the site has almost no relevant information.

What he said. Im currently waiting to get my one deliverd. It was a hard choice between the Razor Diamondback tho, cause the razor one is smaller which I like but in the other hand it had really stupid placed buttons on the sides.

Get a Logitech MX500. It's exactly the same as the MX510, only it looks better and is closer to your colour scheme.

<3 my microsoft intellepoint optical mouse. Never had any problems with it + lifetime warrenty. Bit pricey though, about $80, but lifetime warrenty so you cant beat it. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Get a good white mouse, then just cut your arm and let your vile black demon's blood ooze all over it, Coleman. Give it a day to dry, and bam, good as new.
