yes made by me.
Well... I have been abstaining from Bryce long enough. I have decided to create a new picture and I even have a contract for one. Basically it is going to be a back yard of a possible house.

So... I invite you all to come and watch the process for as long as you can stand it.

The link to watch is in my sig, and it is also http://69.9.249.78:8080.

I am just starting I shall post the final image on the first page of this post, in addition of the last page.

Let the creation begin!

*Edit*
Creation finished as of 5:00 PM CST. Takes a while for my comp to render a nice picture. Tell me what you guys think.

The program's called Bryce. It's really easy to use, compared to other 3D programs, but it's not as powerful.

It's been a while since I messed with Bryce.

If I may ask why are you contracted to make a backyard of a house?
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
I was asked to make one for their real estate business (computer desktops), so I am using where I used to live as an example. :-)

No offence, but all Bryce work looks bland. At least this is different from your normal mountain/water skybox that everyone makes.

Maybe make a sharper sky? I haven't seen clouds like that.

What's with the rollercoaster track that goes behind the hill? I'm guessing it's connected to the balcony.
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
That would be the deck that connects to the hilll, like it was in the house where my parents lived. Don't ask me the designer of that house was on something when he had the blueprints.

Is it possible to make the foreground 'grass' anything besides flat? I think that might add a bit, since right now the center of the picture is a big field of green.
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
You mean more like little hills and what not?
  • UltimaGeckoUltimaGecko hates endnotes Join Date: 2003-05-14 Member: 16320Members
Maybe a slight slope up to the house (with changing grades, so it's not just a flat plane). It just seems like everything in that picture is made from a box in some way (except the tree, and the background hill).

If it's possible you might want to throw a bit more trees or viewable grass on the hill in the back, since it, too, looks a bit bare.

no, I think he ment detail.

it looks like it is simply painted (that being the effect that vryce often gives to me)

And I stoped watching you (and went to make lunch) when you were making that hill and I was trying to figgure out WTH it was

As ive seen Cyndane's work, I really think this picture is much nicer than some other ones ive seen. Like everyone else, I just think the middle of the field is empty.

    <self advertisement warning!>

I for one, think you should use my new patentened FOUNTIAN THAT SHOOTS WATER OUT THE TOP AND SINKS DOWN INTO THE BOTTOM TO SHOOT INTO THE SKY AGAIN!!

    </self advertisement>

but all joking aside, you should put some sort of statue/monument of some kind.

Edit- also, you might want to do something about that mountain in the back, not only is it a premade skin (ive heard that you can make pretty good ones yourself), it ends right at the ground creating a long notable flat line.

I'm going to have to agree with the more detail thing, but on the other hand, Bryce really isn't the kind of proggy that gives you individual blades of grass now is it...

Bryce is nice and all, but I'd go with Maya. Just download that personal learning edition and do a few tutorials, and you'll be well on your way.

    CAT.

I like the tree, otherwise seems a bit bland or watered down - but I've never ever seen anything made on this program, so if it all looks that way then good work!

Being that size, I don't think he needs them.

I don't even think he can fit in his house.

I also wonder why he is a giant Cat's head, but I'll reserve that question for later, as I don't want to offend him, he may be a foreigner.

I've had 4+ cats for my 17 years of life (i'm on 6 at the moment) and most of them were females who must have given birth to many, many litters of kittens during their respective lifetimes, and I have never seen a cat looking that happy.

That cat is clearly abusing substances.
