    I try to join #ns-twg, and I get the message
    Cannot join channel (+k)
    #ns-twg - Cannot join channel (+k)

    I check the mode, and it tells me
    channel #ns-twg mode is +mtnzk *
    channel created at Fri Jan 21 20:55:39 2005

    Why can't I join the channel if it isn't locked? I'm using HydraIRC, if that matters.

    Looking more closely I spotted a line: * Olympus.CA.US.GameSurge.net sets mode: +k *

    How or why that got there is beyond me. Anyway I unlocked it now.

    +k means you have to be authed to join. Just try authing and then rejoining.

    We're fast approaching the start of the game, so I guess this thread can be locked now or in the near future.

    Edit: By the way, I will be keeping a journal during this game, just like last game (except that this time I start right away). I hope it will prove to be an interesting read at the end of the game.
