Don't gimme that. Hunters are more than useful- we had 2 Hunters, 2 Rogues, and a Priest today, and took Uldaman. Who tanked? The pets.

Edit: And now it looks like Blizzard isn't wanting to allow ANYONE on the server at all: I go through the process, get connected, it stands there for a moment...then it tells me "You've been disconnected from the server."

Its been 5 times now- maybe their fixing it? Terrible thing to say back if thats the case.

Well, from what I've heard, Hunters didn't get nerfed so much as fixed. From what I've been told by several people is that Quivers and stuff were giving double the fire rate bonus, so it was 26% instead of 13%. God forbid, eh?

yeah, they are really frustrating as a mage, when u poly a npc and the friggen pet attacks it 2 seconds later

First of all, it is arguable that the loss of DPS was a "Fix", okay, sure, whatever.

But the pet was a terribly blatant nerf. It took me a LONG time to find and tame and level snarler. Now he is totally useless. I would have now gone and got the Spireling spider, which DID have 1.0 attack speed, making it atleast good for fighting casters. But, low and behold, blizzard put its attack speed to 1.5, <i>without telling anyone</i> beforehand. I also love how they lied about what they were going to do to my Zul farrak snake. They said you weren't supposed to be able to tame it and were going to fix that. They said that they weren't going to take it away from people that already had it, they just wouldn't be able to feed it. Okay that's cool, I would just take mine out on special occasions. But to my dismay, I log on after the patch and he is gone. And one of my now favorites, if you are in a party and your pet dies, a healer could res him for you. Okay that's cool, but now for no reason at all, if a healer reses your pet, the healer gets res sickness. I hope it was just some sick joke by one of the devs that will be fixed soon.


On to why I'm mad about the quiver and bag fix. Their firing speed was being factored twice. So my gun which fires at 1.7 attack speed was shotting at 1.33 (I have a 13% increase firing bag) a 26% decrease. Now you can say, "Well, that was obviously and error that should be fixed", okay, fair enough. Except that this bug has been around for ever. And I never heard somebody say "Omg lower hunter DPS! They are to strong!" because we were balanced around that bug. We were perfectly fine with getting the 26% increase instead of 13%. We were balanced that way. They could have just changed the tooltip to say "Gives a 26% increased fire rate" and left it at that. But no, they had to adjust in a way that hurt us. Our DPS was fine the way it was, why not just leave it that way?
This might have not been SO bad, but they pick fixing this error, over one that actually NEEDS, REALLY REALLY NEEDS, to be fixed. The pet run speed bug.

Quaunaut: Uldaman is not a very good example. Since that is one of the few were atleast 1 pet class is a requirement. If you have any hope of taking the last boss you need atleast 2 pet classes. 1 pet for each of those golems he raises when he's about to die. Uldaman also lacks alot of hard hitting mobs, except for those Brawler guys.


Well I think that turned out a bit longer then I intended. Oh well.

From what I read, Xyth, the quiver/ammo pouch bug was that you could use both a quiver and an ammo pouch to exploit and gain an extra 13% attack speed. I don't know about them being factored in twice, but if you weren't using the exploit and you lost DPS I guess that's the case.

The way they described it, they worded it really badly. The bug had nothing to do with equiping both a quiver and an ammo pouch at the same time. The bug was actually that form any one pouch/quiver the haste was being doubled.

Besides, no person in his right mind would give up ANOTHER bag slot.

That ain't bad- really, only the Side Effect and Resistances are worth it though.

The default WoW bars are terrible. They cover up pet bars and casting timers, making them completely pointless. The left sidebar also uses the same slot set as the first part of my Cosmos PopBar, making it even more worthless.

I've just been binding keys for the spells I need that are on the next page; it's not as good, but I get by.

Invazn

They kinda just interfere with the gypsy bars already there, and only include what i have in my main atack bar. I dont see a point in having more than 1 bar to include the same things.

I mainly stopped using cosmos because its bloatware and owned by IGE.

I don't use Cosmos at all, but I have a pretty slick interface, if I do say so myself.

I use Bibmod, CTmod, Minigroup 5.+ beta, Telo's Infobar, Atlas(shows instance maps ingame- invaluable), and many "background mods. I've achieved what I can rightly say is GUI heaven. In fact, the only thing I have left wanting to do is implement the one where it displays character stats over your character ingame(hp, mp- in my case, energy), because it'll be helpful overall.

To access it, just type /atlas

It doesn't show your position, but their labeled as to special events(bosses and the such), and very pretty. Super useful, includes many instances(though obviously, Dire Maul is not included yet).

I realy need to do some tweaking with my UI...

I like ALOT of features of cosmos:
Text scroll with mousewheel
shift to sell
sidebars+the ability to auto move bags and group stats
quest minion was very nice (hasn't worked in a long time)
the ability to hide anytihng I don't want on my screen

If any one can find me a UI with those things, or infact the ability to remove most of the artwork from the hud, I would be very gratefull <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
