To be fair, there's not always that much difference between a robot and a cyborg.
You can easily tell elves from humans; elves take good care of their hair and skin, they have pointy ears, and go over the top in enunciating their words.
A robot is completely artificial, while a cyborg is biological with artificial parts. And, Gandalf isn't a human either. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
That was a great trailer. "You were the chosen one!"
My favorite line ever.
I'm not a big Star Wars buff, but I think the idea of a robot using lightsabers seems kind of stupid. However, the character himself looks like a badass. I like how Anakin makes his full transition to darkness in this one. More Yoda action is sweet.
Oh, and Palpatine coming out swinging rocks. That was the perfect moment to cut that scene; now I really want to see it.

(i know it's not only in equilibrium it's just an easy example).
I don't think a cyborg/robotic jedi is anything silly. It makes perfect sense, really. The jedi react so quickly because they can see things before they happen, so the best thing to fight them (apart from another force user but force users who will fight the jedi are compartively few and far between) is something that's reflexes are far above that of a biological creature.
By the way, who is it that Anakin is fighting with in front of the palpatine? He's got a red lightsaber so he's sith... Dooku?

And you're right. Gandalf isn't a human, he's an <i>awesome</i>.
Yeah, I immediately thought of Equilibrium in that scene. I also maintain that a robot Jedi is silly in that...well, it just seems kind of ridiculous to me. Then again, he still has his own mind, he's just in a robot body.

That lightsaber swinging robot (cyborg, whatever) seems really odd to me. I'll just have to see how it ends up in the movies. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm still unsure about this General Grievous dude, who exactly is he other than a kick-**** cyborg with several light sabres? Where the hell has he come from, animated Star Wars you say? Never even knew it existed!
What a name though, kinda brings down the tone of the film I would of thought, sounds like a comic villain. Hope he has some really cheeZ lines to help push the series right around the U-bend.
That doesn't mean much to me, I need to watch Ep1 + 2 again I think.
Light side and the Dark side generally summed it up, then they had to go and make some prequels with all this bloody stuff about good guys turning bad and armies and just a distinct lack of Harrison Ford. Go back to Indiana Jones, please.
