<div class="IPBDescription">or bulliers?</div> Which kind of these u will accept and which wont?
Which of them are lame?
concerning about clans:

1. Stacking in pubs.

2. Switching team to play with clan members

3. solo

4. Situation: Random team plugin installed in their clan server. They stack in teams. when they cant join they went to spectators. (other pubs cant go since privilage set) Afterwards they join the team once there is space

5. phoning each other and exchanging info about aliens/marines but members are on different team(in case u know it)

These don't seem to be real clanners, but public noobs and victory deprived pseudo clanners.

I think hes refering to all the "pub clans".

You know, the kind that have 57 members, but never play in a pcw / scrim / clanmatch / WTHever you call it.

Well organised clans dont really behave like that at all.

Oh phoning isn't so extreme. I must admit I've done it in CS before. What else do you with all the free minutes on your mobile?

I get accused of 'stacking' a lot when I play with my Cow mates, but we aren't even a real clan anymore, we just still have Cow in our names. I get really annoyed by it actually.

Some people (thats quite a lot) stack in pubs; wheter clanner or not... Clanners seems more obvious, as they use the clan tag... Thats all... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

And some pubbers really whine a lot... Most of the time pubbers stack marines; at least in our server... When we go aliens one by one... These stackers start whining about clan stacking... priceless; isnt it... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I do switch team to play with my mates; if the other team has 2 or less players than mine... Then again people that ignores the "teams" comments; start whining about stacking...

Yes some does it... But the key point is if other pubbers have privilages they would also do it... So whats up with being in a clan?...

Stacking is a BAD habbit afterall... It is not about being a member of a clan or not... It is about respecting the players you play with... I try not to, most of the time... However there are many situations forces me seem like Im stacking... *sigh*

There's a Metamod plugin called "Balance on Death" that works quite well in regards to preventing team stacking, BUT it requires a mysql database to parse skill levels from. If you have PsychoStats 2.0 installed <a href='http://www.modns.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=207' target='_blank'>this plugin</a> is for you.

The bad news is, it's NOT automatic as an admin must type "eventeams" in console while all players are still in the readyroom, then the teams are evened according to player skill. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

On my server I abhor team stacking and constantly coach my members to go out of their way to avoid it.

Call your imaginary girlfriend or something. Pretend you have a social life - and in the meantime use free programs like Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, BattleCom, RogerWilco or what have you to communicate with your nerd friends - seeing as how it has the distinct advantage of not requiring you to hold a telephone and allowing more than 2 people to participate in information exchange.

Clans just **** me off when yuo're sat there at the armoury waiting for a gl that you've been begging the comm to give you for ever since you got raped by that stack of 20 oc's with no dc behind them, and one of their members spawns and get the hmg, ha, mines, welder, ammospam and anything else that they won't need... That just really ****s me off.

    Nah don't do that.

I swear that sometimes OC's are like a bugzapper. No matter how many times it zaps someone people STILL gravitate towards it.

I try and wallstrafe/dodge around them to get to the usually undefended hive for a ninja. And if that doesn't work, go all the way around the map while capping nodes. The reason I want to play with my clan mates is because I know they know what theyr doing. It's not a matter of stacking, its more like wanting to have a guy next to you that can cover you while ur building. It's also great having a clanmate on your team because most of the time the person will command and your team will actually get meds and ammo.

As for ramboing. I think the reason a lot of clanners do it, is because the quality of the commander is low enough that they know they wont get meds and ammo. So, they stop listening to the comm thats screaming "come back and build the turret factory!!12121!!!".

  • KoniaXKoniaX Join Date: 2003-02-16 Member: 13641Members, Constellation
The reason I like to be on the same team as my clan members isn't because I'm stacking. Its because I want to know that I have competent players watching my back, and that I can basically have fun with the game. I don't want to be on a team where some nub that doesn't know how to fire his weapon is supposed to be guarding me...

Although I will agree wih you that some clans are obnoxious, moronic, pompous **** that only care about their K/D ratio. I hate those types of clans and have no respect for them.

For some strange reason, people like to be able to understand what they're reading. It's an odd fluke in the human mentality.

I prefer to have my clan mates on my team because they do know what they are doing they dont keep their res to go onos and fade like most of the new ppl who play co all the time do when we play only 1 goes fade to guard the gorgies!

When we are marines its good to have a team that listens espeacially for an end of game HA rush! It is also only the regulars and my clan memebers which tend to listen to me when i comm if the new ppl don't listen then i make sure they don't get HA/JP or hmg or gl, and then when they moan i tell well if you don't listen and go a.w.o.l then you don't get! Some of them tend to listen after that others shout some foul language off and then i ban them!

We don't clan stack because we are bullies etc we do it because we enjoy a good game where our team know what they are doing!

I mean it comes to a point when you are comm and you lose the round because a few immature nubs think they know better and do what they wana do rather than listen to an experienced comm! They love ending the game quickly, what the is up with that they ruin the fun no fun in a 1 - 10 min game only gets fun when its a 30 - X min/hour game.

Isolating clans for something that any group of affiliated players (i.e. Reserve Slot Members) can do is wrong and just widens the gap of why competitive players tend not to have a favorable view of the pubber community.

    Thanks!

good game? against who? I bunch of people you just classified as noobs?

First you play a game against a group of less skilled players and come to the conclusion that its not fun but more fun to go against them with even better players on your team? This kind of behavior gives new players a bad first impersion of the game and no reason for them to come back.

pub players aren't idiots that dont listen, I see new players for the first time one day then one week later they know the game inside out. Its the way your approaching them by not giving them a chance. "oh look its a nub, he doesnt understand what im telling him so I dont like him" pretty much sums it up.
