try putting this command into your server.cfg

    sys_ticrate 300

it may help in boosting server performance.

but even if the server is running at 60 fps, that dont mean that its messed up. if your clients start to lag extremely bad, then you might have a problem.

Dosnt matter what it is set to it always runs between 59 and 84 mostly 60 fps and sys_tickrate is set to 100 by default, have tried higher previously but it stays at around 60.

WinPingbooster, Tried many configs, What happens is when server is empty fps will be 200 as it fills is drops about 30 fps per player and ends up being worse off so is better without the booster, cpu usage is very low. Says 0.3% to 0.8% when theirs 4 people on combat. Prolly about 8% when full (16 player).

well if players arent lagging to hell, i would not pay paticular attention to the servers fps. just make sure everyone has decent pings.

IIRC, the higher the server FPS is, the better gunshots and such are called. The lower FPS, the more trouble (or more easier) it will be to align your shots with the hitboxes. I can't find the guide anymore, but after changing my sv_minrate to 1000 and my sv_maxrate to 5120 (I have 800kbps upload rate, more than enough for 16-20 players), the players pings dropped from 5-20 MS!!! (the defaults for both variables were 0 BTW).

    Try the flash tweak.

Run an avi in the background, something short like clock.avi leave it open while the server is running. This will unlock windows internal lock at around 60fps. Then adjust your sys_ticrate to your desired FPS.

BTW CPU usage jumps alot once you go above 150 or 200 and you will counter act any performace you gained once your CPU usage goes to around 70+

Aye, im aweare of that little trick, Only prob is the severs dont have sound cards so the result is they refuse to play, No biggie, its only 2 win machines compared to the other 40+ linux machines :O
