    Sorry Kmart, I wasn't clear. I ment that when the game was starting I held down +showscores and specifically saw the member in question F4, then F2 to check our hive. Whether or not he told you what the hive was on vent, I have no idea.

    BTW you guys did some SERIOUS strat changes the second time. That was one crazy game. Got me twice as fade <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> . Scrim again sometime?

    Malibu used the polite way of saying something. Oh my gawd, I feel compelled to act out of character too. How about "Hey Malibu, really nice improvement on your bunnyhop you got there" ?

    Yeah, there we go. The urge is gone now [feces]face [big chocolate salty balls]sucking euro-[cucumber of love]weed.

    My point was simply to voice the opinion that no-one else seems willing to state. There are people that will cheat to win a scrim, though lord knows why, and you shouldn't be shocked if it happens to you. The paranoia comes from the fact that we've had it happen to us twice, and I didn't feel thankful for this other team cheating and making us a better team (an argument that I can't begin to agree with), I was angry cause they wasted my time.

    There is zero point to ghosting.  Even if we had any desire to do it to get cheap wins, which we don't, it wouldn't serve any point.  You can't ghost in matches.  My clan actually has a roster of 11 active people now, one of whom is a gorge specialist.  If we've got seven people, he plays alien round (he is an awesome gorge) and sits marine and it sucks whole arrays of vile and fetid dongs for him to have to leave the server or sit pointlessly in RR for one of the halves.

    And - look, why would you even care if you got ghosted in a scrim?  "Oh look we lost a scrim to a clan that ghosts because they're complete nubs, and here we are totally punching their nuts and faces in an actual match because we scrimmed for real and they scrimmed with sad crutches for their broken and worthless souls."

    Just sayin'.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    The original poster felt that view was invalid and I thought it deserved a little more consideration then that.

    Lose the attitude.

    I can respect your opinion. I think you're wrong, but I can see feeling that way. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    There are members of Rumblefish that feel that while its acceptable, its kind of bad tact. Watch demo's in their opinion.

    ... and we all have CD and reg models.

    Look, there should be absolutely 0 reason for not allowing people to spec unless they meet the single obvious requirement: You play that person's clan on that map. Otherwise there should be no reason to not allow a spec given all the players are in the server already. If someone ghosts, you should be amazed you did as well as you did, given they pretty much had one of the best methods available for knowing where you were and what you were doing.

    Personally I've had specs in hundreds of scrims, and I don't think I've ever felt someone ghosted. I would never disallow specs in a scrim I was in, because you may help someone learn something and it costs you nothing. Scrims are nothing but practice time for your team, if the other team cheats, they cheat THEMSELVES, not you. You still get valuable practice and experience, no matter if you're the newest Omega team or the most seasoned Delta team (I've been in both and so have many of the Delta players that have posted in this thread).

    New teams need to realize that specs are not evil, and 98% of them are not out to cause you grief, they simply want to enjoy the scrim the only way they can, by watching it. No one wants to listen to their team play and not be able to watch. You have absolutely 0 to lose by letting people spec, get over the paranoia.

Maybe because top clans know that scrims are meant for training and therefore ghosting is not only useless, but also penalizing. Most "little" clans aren't in any competition and therefore take each scrim as a match. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    why not take each scrim as seriously as a match? it is "training" dar. if you're always on your game, you'll never be off! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Ghosting wouldn't help much if any.. You can't hear anything they say via ingame, you could perhaps relay information of where they are heading, etc.. but then it's up to the players themselves to counter such attack.
