    I will allow myself to make a rule here: You may only make positive remarks about comics. And you may not make positive remarks that are actually negative remarks (such as "I love comic X because it totally sucks") either. I realize that this is not my thread and that I am not in a position to make such rules. I also realize that I can by no means enforce this rule.

    However, unless we all follow this rule, this thread will quickly turn into a flame war as the supporters and enemies of some particular webcomic battle it out. Please spare us all the trouble and don't do it.

    By the way, the rule extends to the readers of the particular comics, too. In other words, "You read Comic Y? Damn you suck," is not allowed either.

    I have a folder of webcomics in Firefox, and once a day I'll press "open all in tabs" and zip right through all of them.

    The list is partly from word of mouth from friends, partly from what webcomics I see being recommended by other webcomic authors. Some people may notice that a lot of the lesser-known ones are webcomics mentioned in the last interview of the Penny Arcade guys posted on <a href='http://slashdot.org' target='_blank'>/.</a>

    Rather than posting a whole bunch of links, here's an html file, formatted in a way that Firefox users will be able to use "Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks>File>Import...>From File." Non-firefox users will still be able to view the html as a series of links.

    See, I do that too, only manually until now. I did not know you can open an entire folder at once. VERY neat.

    I respect that we don't want to turn this discussion into pointless sniping at certain comics, but do you still enjoy the comic after R Caston, the 'funny' writer, parted ways with the artist? The plot's gotten so saccharine that I can only read it with one eye open at a squint. The last few comics have revealed that Largo's now in love? Great. I bet Caston's crying at how his character's been butchered.

    Unless you're enjoying the art, which is fair enough.

    How can you forget <a href='http://www.somethingpositive.net/' target='_blank'>Something Positive</a>? This comic is updated VERY OFTEN, there is a HUGE archive of well drawn and written comics. It has a continuous storyline, and uses character development like no other.

    Very good art. Has impressive character development. And a tiny robot-computer, which is the only thing that doesn't tie into its realistic nature.

    DO NOT READ THIS COMIC! It is akin to web comic crack. Someone linked me to it one day, and I got a few HUNDRED comics into the archive before I could pull myself away. YOU JUST CAN'T STOP. It's not particularly funny or well drawn or insightful or anything, but it DRAWS YOU IN LIKE THE BLACK MORASS OF DOOM.

    That said I recommend it wholeheartedly.
