Low To Mid Range
<div class="IPBDescription">Half Life 2 pics plz</div> Hey guys-
I have a g4ti4200 128mb ddr ram. Its not the bottom of the barrel card, but by no means can it compete with a 9800xt. Before i shell out the cash for HL2(then have my "children" bashed in for blowing that kinda cash on "a stupid video game" by my girlfriend), I wanna make sure its worth it. Cause if I have to, Ill just wait till I can afford a better vid card.
thanks

what are your fps?
how did you get it so (not applicable if you fps are crap)
coz I have the same card <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
and I run 3fps (mainly) and 20fps (for example in the hallways)
Radeon 9200 128mb
256mb of ram
AMD Athalon 2400+ at ~2.0ghz
...this is what I get:
Anyway, here's my specs:
AMD AthlonXP 1800
1024mb PC2100
Asus ATI 9600XT
I'm guessing this falls under the midrange heading but wth.
On to the pics...

Pretty happy so far. I was using the default settings but I decided to try 4X AA for kicks (NOTE: 4X AA was on when I took these shots). Seems that was too much.

I swear it's set at simple in the settings...maybe I should change it to world and then back to simple and see if that helps.
I'm gettin ~60FPS @ 1600x1200@85 with all settings maxed. It is sweet.
Anyways, I can crank down the settings to low and drop the resolution to 640x480 if you want some screenies from me, and it'll make me nostalgic for HL1 without playing HL1.

No FSAA, no Vsync!
about 30-40 fps outside (30 when it greats really busy)
60 - 150 in tunnels / indoors.
My system is probably towards the lower-midrange pcs that can handle HL2 and it looks pretty nice.
I'll take a screenie next time i play that hopefully is not a spoiler.
btw is fps_max meant to be set to 300?!
GeForce2MX 400
256MB SDRAM
1.13ghz Intel P3
is it even possible to get a playable FPS with this?
Including CSS and HL:S or just HL2?
Just barely better than skulkbait's at:

Yeah, just HL2, I don't think I'd bother with CS:S. But I don't think there's a chance in hell I'll free up 1/4th of my poor POS Harddrive. I've got about.... 500 or so MB left.
