<div class="IPBDescription">is NOT dead</div> <b>He isn't actually dead. These were lies by the Israeli who used advantage of his critical health. Until further notice, the doctors say that he is still alive.</b>

If a mod sees this and changes the topic, that could maybe help to clear any confusion?

That article showed up in google as being an hour old, but it'll get out that he's dead really soon.

In terms of political readiness. Being comatose, and stable is just as bad as dead. :-)

[Arafat] was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was then transferred to a better hospital where doctors upgraded his condition to "alive".

so odd how life mimicks fiction... or is it the other way around.

But I agree, I don't think we'll see him back in the saddle any time soon, if ever.

After being moved to a better hospital, his condition has been upgraded from "dead" to "<a href='http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=226597' target='_blank'>alive</a>"

I'm in Israel, all i can tell you is that a few days ago the media said he's got cancer, and today in the morning they said he doesn't.
Never heard of him being dead, but i don't watch news too much.
  • Cold_NiTeCold_NiTe Join Date: 2003-09-15 Member: 20875Members
I've been following his condition for a couple weeks now. He's been in pretty bad shape for a while now, but his aides tried to cover it up with different things because they didn't want the information spread that he was ailing. This could be pretty bad...
  • Cereal_KillRCereal_KillR Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1837Members
It's really bad. He could already be dead for all we know, but apparently the doctors and his aides say he's still alive.

Arafat should of been hunted and killed ages ago.

Anyone have an explantion of why it would benefit Israel to jump the gun on pronouncing Arafat dead? Even if he is going to die pretty damn soon anyway.

Well juice, since that entire little plot of land/s is so violatile it could cause them to want more of an open fighting and/or rise of some other far worse leader the he, Arafat, was.

Ive also read that the inner circle of the palestinians are starting to say that they are doing a better job leading then he ever did. So if he ever came back to "life" I dont think his job would be there. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I hope, day by day, for the death of this pigheaded swine. Hilarious how most of the world thinks he's fighting for the Arab people - especially because HE walked away from the table and fired up the Infitatda several years ago. In the course of the infidata, thousands of Palestinians have died, hundreds of Israeli's have, and any chance for peace has been shattered.

So now we have Sharon trying to disengage, wall off the Palestinian's and get peace that way - but everyone still has it in their head "Arafat won the nobel peace prize, he must be the good guy".

I'm not sure I agree with all the criticisms of him posted above, but he is the worst thing to happen to the Israeli-Palestinian bargaining table in a <b>long</b> time.

I'm not going to deny that Yasser Arafat is an ****.

But I will also not point finger at him for everything. There were a surge of suicide bombers some months ago, what did Israel do? Jailed in his home and demanded that he stop these terrorists. Do you see a problem here?

Yes, he was a killer. But for now, he's the one thing that actually stands between total chaos (holy ****, it can actually get worse?).
