yeah, those are some messed up numbers. but thats not the point. the fixed hitbox code was commented out for some reason. for people who dont do any programing, it means that big chunk of code is just ignored. the new code WILL be used in B6, so just deal with it for now
as you might or might not know, none of the devs is being paid for investing our time into this game. Not to sound preposterous, but to me, that hints at us deserving a somewhat more polite treatment when you demand changes which we will have to implement on our free time. The problem at hand seem pretty much lag-induced (demos preserve lag to remain accurate as far as I'm aware).
As for the hitbox code, it has (coders, correct me if I'm wrong) effects on other alien classes, as well, but I doubt it's connected to this. This is simply good ol' HL netcode giving a HPB a chance to kill stuff.

Drummer, the devs still haven't confirmed that. The bugtracker implies that only the Fade's fixed hitboxes were commented out.
oh wait, they put it off yet again.
/me hollars over to Flay et all... OK GUYS, LET'S FIX 'ER UP!

Don't make me go play CS with laggy players, and take a screenshot of the same problem.
the steam counter is off because of this.
so its really not that different.
CS doesnt have hitbox problems when a player crouches though.
