Then again, while dreaming is nice, just living with the way things are and getting on with it is always a heck of a lot more rewarding in the end =3
Does this load function automatically work? Like, say if I die...will it auto load my most recent save? Also, please tell me there is no autosave function either.
the same thing we do <i>every</i> night...PLAN TO TAKE OVER...uh, I mean, ACTUALLY TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
Would life be worth living if anything you could do would be acceptable, since you can go back and re-do it? No rules, no guidelines, no goals, no desire, no purpose, no achievement. Sure, it might be fun for the first few days - but how would you feel later, when you have the power to do anything, and you've already tried everything?
Now, a question similar to this. Right now, you can decide whether you would have this ability to save/load, or not. Forever, starting from the beginning of your life. Would you choose to have it, or not? Keep in mind, that if you choose not to get this, you'll never get it in the future, and if you choose to have it, similarly, you'll be stuck with it for the rest of your life (the ability).
*edit* although it can be argued that i could just re-load until the algorithm seed determines that no one else has it except me.
...except without the bad effects.
There's some choices I certainly would have made over, but that's life. I think it'd be fun to re-live life over again, once I died.
I would take it for sure. You can always stop using it if you get bored or decide to take life as a challenge. But you've always got backup if you need it.
But I would rather have a remote control for life. Fast forward could be handy in a lot of boring situations and I would pause all the time.
Who hasn't wanted to, at least once in their life? The problem is, will you ever be able to live with yourself knowing that the people you know from the <i>rewind</i> aren't technically the same as you once knew? It'd bug me to hell, it would <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

^^
of course I would use the save feature as many times as I could so to try and help me improve my overall score
While in Hollowman the character changes in a way to live out all the agression and desires, because noone can catch/see him, being able to undo things would have a similar result I think. A lot of things one could do without fearing consequences... stealing, raping, killing, just to name 3. Basically the life (especially the ones of other people) would become more and more worthless; it's just a "klick" and they are back.
Of course I'd like to have such an option.. there are quite a lot of things in my past that I wish I didn't do or had done in another way. And of course I would save before every important test/exam and then load the savegame to find out the right answers <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
/Hyper

Of cause, if it's not possible to AVOID loading when you die, I'd probably be a little less sure about it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
A better question would be something like, would you want to be invisible? That actually has drawbacks, since I can't imagine you'd want to be invisible for the rest of your life. I mean sure you'd sneak into women's lockerrooms or get to places you normally couldn't go before, but I mean after a while, you might actually want to be seen. What woman would marry an invisible guy? A blind woman perhaps. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I'm so gonna hit on so many women.
*got slapped*
*Quickload*
*Now let's try that again*
*got slapped*
*OK, one more time, let's hit both of them at once this time*
*got punched*
*Damnit, ok, romantic approach*
altho i would deffinatly abuse it... especailly as i can save before lottery and load up after i got the numbers making me rich rich i tell you mwhahahaha
also if i had a job interview etc, save before hand if **** up just re-do it untill i get it right
EDIT: ahhh the possibilities are endless... i'm now going to find away to make it happen <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
...wait, wrong game.
thats not true it would work.. the numbers are random and it has already happened.. so therefore if u rewind time, then it should turn out exactly the same as nothing has effected the balls... although if it did turn out different then there would be some weird rift in time because if its been played out like that then it should play it out again.... or so i think
EDIT: if its just me going back then nothing should change but if everything around me goes back aswell then it would change
2nd EDIT: PS i would deffinatly go on a killing spree cos if i knew that i could bring life back then i would deffinatley take full advantage.. for instance.. some kids i hated since school stab hes dead... *rewind* alive again Stab *dead* drewind alive again.. etc etc, untill i get bored and do it to sumone else
Basically, a "quicksave" function... and obviously, load.
Eh? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
I would kill people. Seriously. When things get bad just quickload. (gotta watch those darn autosaves tho <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
