I did the same thing. First time around I was owning it up at first, but then my money ran out and I got raped while trying to get it back.
Anyhow, I started over and found a pretty huge start of the game exploit. I'm not going to post it to spoil it for people but if you want infinite cash at the beginning of the game and you're willing to waste time waiting for it, PM me. But back on track, I have a huge base now. I had 95 minions before I even had the world domination map..it rocks. And I edited it to allow me 500 minions, I just need to buy another huge barracks (my 95 minions only have 1 barrack. it's huge). I built a huge trap mechanism at the entry to my base. It's like a 4 unit thick corridor with nothing but sensors on the ground, 4 air shafts that blow people into the gas chambers, and if they do dodge it all there's 3 fake pop-up thugs that keep them standing on the sensors as to buy the air blowers time. It's awesome. I should post screenshots later :O
Anyone figure out how to kill the mamba chick and jet chang yet? I've tried everything in my first game till they destroyed me from within my base. Only thing I didn't try on the mamba chick was my labratory laser, but that was cause it wasn't finished yet :/
Oh and I spent the past 24 hours playing my first game. I had everything ranging from a cloning machine to the eiffel tower. It's frustrating to lose that all but now that I know what to do it's good.

I was tempted to start over one more time and build all the basic stuff I'd ever need and just sleep on it. (Since you don't build up heat on the world map untill you really start to get notorious.)
in order to seriously maim mariana you have to strap her into a med chair and take away her good looks... I don't have the med chair and I still haven't played yet (not for the last few days) Anyway, it tells you this in your optional objectives. always check your optionals, they make life easier.
edit: btw try letting your genius die, there's a death movie.
I always check the optional stuff and didn't see it..strange. And yeah the only times my villain died is when I let the clone die <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> My actual guy never died yet.

AFAIK the info about Mariana's weakness doesn't show up until you move to the second island. That's what happened for me, anyway. I was busy boggling at the island's hugeness when I got the objective.
I just ordered it off Amazon today <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I've got a question about the demo though. When the super agent turns up you have to capture him. How do you go about doing so without losing 3/4 of your henchmen in the process?

Are anyone else's henchmen constantly dying? I have to micromanage them and keep them holed up in the base when a super agent shows up because otherwise they inevitably run off and get permanently killed. Jet Chan is way overpowered, kills everything in 1-3 hits <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yeah the game can be seriously rough. Half my base just got blown up and I have about 20 minions left all over with jet chang walking through my base :/
I did my firsttime around but it seems the more they are fighting or off on an adventure the less they desert you. In fact I started over yesterday and now this time around i've only had 1-2 of them quit

Anyhow, I started over and found a pretty huge start of the game exploit. I didn't get any freaks yet, I got a research that said "freak production enabled" but there was no info on it... how do you get them?
I'll go back to my last island, train up my social minions again, then switch islands
after getting a sufficient number of technicians so all my generators don't blow at once.
edit: Cheers Steve, *downs it*
what were we talking about again?
(don't worry, I'm not anti-British, my cousin is British, went to Oxford, live in Venice Italy.... he's a dual citizen actually, along with the US)
