It's all very well being able to make a nice looking NS atmosphere in Doom 3, but is it fully playable with the current scale of NS players? The answer is no. Doom 3 is not the way to go, graphically it looks great but performs appallingly.

So, as you can see, there's nothing definite about it. I certainly do think it's open to speculation.
The voice inside my head wants to reaffirm his 50-50 status.. He also said he prefer Coke over Pepsi.. I myself am a pepsi person but he makes me drink coke..
'nuff said. NS2 should be on Doom3 engine! No leet tricks can duplicate this on the hl2 engine.... <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> ...and you would know this how?

Since the issue is unresolved and undecided and arguably far far beyond discussion in the mapping forum, how about if you guys quit arguing over which engine you think we're going to use or which engine you think we should use?
I am veryyyy tempted to call this thread out-of-place and lock it, since it has nothing to do with Natural Selection Mapping (which would take place in Valve Hammer Editor or a similar HL1 engine map creation tool.)
Discussion of future engines and associated technology and\or viability for NS ports is pointless speculation and really doesn't belong here. Go away!
