Yes, let's hope they don't start it like Blizzard, where some accounts where disabled without any reason. I hope they are man enough to realize that it was a mistake in my case and that they reactivate it.
Hmm, let's see:
7 attempts to use stolen or fake cd-keys
11 attempts to use an invalid credit-card number to purchase CZ
All from the Steam account w/ the same name as the email address you used to sign up on the forums with. All from the computer you are using to post on the forums with.
Can you point out the mistake we made?<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Do you have a modified hosts file or something like peerguardian?
Of course not. I havent even gone on steam for the past week or committed any crimes!

i dont know what that is, so i probably dont have it.
H4X0R, lol.
Get in contact.
As for voogru, he didnt say he had his banned, he just said check your PM, could mean anything
I should point out that we should try to keep an open mind; some of these people may have genuinely been banned in error, so don't jump to conclusions just yet, I know I won't.
Yesterday in IRC, Voogru was asking if he could buy a HL CDKey from anyone. He said his account was broken, and wouldn't tell us why. This is a rather good explanation here...
It could be not true yes, but it looks this way.
It's all a marketing tactic. I don't blame a single one of the people for trying either. It's the biggest crock of sh*t i've ever seen. It doesn't matter though, I didn't get banned. I hate valve.

Ok, i think someone is over reacting a tiny bit. So what if it's a marketing tactic, is it working. They have right's over the games so i think they can do what the hell they like. I'm sure it cost valve quite alot of money developing CS:CZ, and if they went bankrupt you wouldn't get HL2 at all. And on the basis the HL2 code was stolen that set them back a bit and so they will have lost money there. Is it so bad them trying to recoup their losses

If they type with 'u' instead of 'you' or other 'shortcuts', I think they deserve to be banned.

If this is their idea of "recouping their losses", yes it is. They should finish up CS:S and HL2 (which was supposed to be released LAST september, keep that in mind) and use THOSE to "recoup their losses". If a company makes a crappy game, and it sells bad, who's to blame? The customers for not buying crap when they see it? Or the company, for making it? The company should take their losses, and recoup them with the selling of HL2.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they delayed a *completed* HL2 release a month, released CS:S to buy, and then sold HL2 a month later, so they can make even more profits.
edit: I agree with EEK's post, above me though. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Frig-a-doodle-doo.
Keep whining, maybe one day somebody will care about your wayward angst.
It seriously pisses me off how ANY ONE OF YOU even THINK you have a idea about how much game design costs. Yeah, they WERE covering their losses with that. Is that wrong? Hell freaking no. Its THEIR game. Its THEIR right to sell it the way they want. Not to mention, I'm willing to bet you never even TRIED the real CZ, not deleted scenes- which is actually quite FUN if you like Counter-Strike. Get over yourself, and if you want to **** about something, make sure you've got one hell of a good reason. This definately isn't.

I tried CZ. I'm a big fan of CS. I've played it for years, and competitively. I actively followed CZ in hopes of a new cs game, with new weapons, and new tactics. I played it over a friends house who got it, and it was one of the worst game's I've ever played in my life. I tried to like it. I really did. It's a shame it was so bad though. My friend took it back like, two days later.
So, what were you willing to bet that I just won?
