Ok, well i've just been pubbing today on Da jam hardcore server, and my clan server in my sig <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
But it really **** me off to find i couldn't play as marine, because whenever i pressed f1 the team would be full and have about 3 extra players compared to alien.
so i was just thinking, hmm, what could be done to make aliens apeal more to people to stop this endless rine stackage, but i couldn't think of anything, anyone got any ideas on how to stop this? or what's the cause of it? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
<b><edits> i don't even think it's a balance issue, because aliens do win 40% - 50% of the time in pubs,</edits></b>

Playing alien is completely different, i had a hard time learning all alien stuff at the beginning.
Marine shoots when he sees something crawling towards him, but an alien must use more tactics to actually kill something.
But it's becoming to repetative, and i want to give rines a try, but i just can't get the chance without stacking <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
/It's lamo.
And maybe more ppl will play alien =)
I know alot of newbies don't like alien because they get kicked/ridiculed if they do anything wrong (even worse than if they do something wrong on marines).
No.

i remember when i first played ns i was like " OMG I CAN CLIMB ON WALLS AS ALIEN THIS GAME = AWESOME"
guess some people dont see it that way
u see just saying "various reasons" isnt enough. if u cant make a post with any arguments except the ones you just generated, dont post at all.
as for about the actual thread, i think the main reason rines are stacked is... they are more fun to play. sure u might like aliens better, but the person who just plays every once in a while propably wont join aliens just to get gunned down time after time. generally, playing aliens on pubs sucks.

Cut me some slack you jerk. Must I need to list various reasons?
1) Spectate other players if suspected of cheating/aimbot/hacking, which has happened before
2) Discuss things with other admins in the RR or Spectator. Sometimes the admins call players out of the games to talk to them privately
Other things we do on our server are our business, so here are just some examples.
i suppose on some server it may very, but for the most part, it is so
so newb reads manual, starts NS up, joins server, then finds he cant be marines cause everyone else went there
So he goes alien, and while it confuses him for a little while, he has fun
Next round, he joins marine team, gets yelled at by alien team if theyre losing for "stacking teams", or gets called a total n00b for not being able to hit a skulk that is leaping about like its on steriods, crystal meth, and crack

please explain why you hate unchaining so much. also please explain why it would make aliens "rambo". and also explain how the hell could it HURT teamwork.
and dont say "i went to an unchained server and aliens got their **** kicked cus everyone just built their own chamber". because that was bound to happen.
if implemented, the aliens would adapt to it. and so would the marines.
For more experienced players, you'll see the horrendeous advantage that marines have in the beginning.
If there are nublets on your servers, then go alien. Atleast then you can fade and do something about it.
Because of that and trying to play with friends, I've always been a big Alien supporter <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Aliens dont have guns. And if you're a poor alien player then you're likely to get extremely annoyed that you keep dying (omgftw I run at him in a straight line and he shotzored me!!!). You go gorge, but you die just as fast. You go lerk, you die very fast indeed, if you're not camping the vent like 80% of lerk players.
You go fade, and you WALK around the map before dying to a 0/0 basic rine. Finally you hoard for onos every round and spend most of the time devour camping. OLOLOLOL. Till you get blocked by a skulk or dodgy terrain and get shot to little bits.
From then on you become a dedicated marine player.
Whereupon you commence whining at the comm for every upgrade under the sun, and if you lose the round, its the comms fault.

As for marines long range firing, same as what they are used to.
Also I once read some where before that marines were designed to be a new beginners first choice and on the autohelp it said something like 'if you are new join marines'.
At least you have a bigger chance to play both teams alot.

This has already been done, but my CL wont install it for whatever reason =/
Ahh well, i'm sure there's some AMX_ command to swap people around teams aint there?
Also, in the manual, doesn't it say that aliens require less teamwork?
