you know the funny thing about the animations is... the defaults already look and feel like he's a cowboy, I mean he struts when walking, and almost all of his motions fit so perfectly with this model its regahdamndiculous... resizing a default smoke puff wouldn't be a good idea because that would screw up the effect of the turret for example... it uses the default "smokepuff" but if you shrink it, it shrinks both on the turret and for us, it's like a trade off... not to mention it puffs alot and is kinda harsh on your fps, so I'm just not gonna worry about the smoke puffs
What we need now is nice pistol animations, make him hold the pistol on his side, like in western movies (hope you know what i mean). That would be so awesome. Oh but it already is O_o.

btw, one thing I was trying to keep under my 10-gallon hat, is that I am indeed working on custom animations, such as the pistol, in fact long before anyone mentioned it, and yes, everyone has mentioned it, I was planning on redoing the pistol so he side holsters it at the hip like a quick draw style... also considering other animation makeovers, such as the idle animation that seems to do nothing...

its not as much as it won't work... as much as the walk and idle animations loop very rapidly... and it spawns alot of smoke, and as I stated before it wasn't a matter of not having the smoke, it was the fact that the smoke was too large, and it knocked your fps down a couple hits worth when you glanced at a rine.. that's just one, not to mention what happens when you look at a bunch of em <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> thanks anyway though <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It would be really awesome if the dudes in charge saw this and decided to make it the "official" readyroom marine. I'd love it.
anyhoo, I take it you'll get those red and blue lights on jet pack to flash or no? That would be super cool, except it would be a dead givaway to the enemy, but, then again, what isn't with high enough gamma.
The quick draw idea would be so great! Would it be like you select the pistol and it would only show your hand, but when you fire, the gun would intantly pop up? WOOOOOO-Hooo...!!!
