Lookin' fantastic, although I would add more lighting to it, my guess is that's gonna be your final step once you get your diffusion layer all down, which looks nice don't get me wrong, it just needs more drama, more shine, and more shadow, if ya get me <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I had to tone down some of the shadows because some parts are repeated on the other side of the model and would look completely out of place (if P & W are done).
Diffusion layer... I have no idea what you are on about.
At the end I usually increase the contrast and go over some parts with thin dodge brush to make parts shinier - so that should fix the lighting.
I can't really be bothered to change the grip, it will be covered by the hand <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

good enough, and your diffusion layer is like getting down the base color and texture, minus lighting and what not, and of coarse the hand will cover up the grip, but you really think that's reason enough not to bother with it though?
