    Kinda looks like a combination of mesh and skinning problems. The mesh on the scope looks like it flips all over the place. The UV map on the ridged area of the scope doesn't seem to be oriented the same way as with the rest of the scope. The black lines could also be simply fixed by colouring over the lines of the map. Ehhh.. I guess I could help fix it but not right away. Got other things to do.

    Red, try rotating the scope about 180 degrees and it shoudn't be that much noticable.
    Or mail me the compiled model and i'll have a look at it.

    was it just the skin or was it a model/mesh problem or something else?

    Most likely the problem is in the UV map, since the same thing came up on both skins. I haven't really had the time to look into it though.

    Well.. I just looked into the bug. It can be easily fixed, but I'd rather fix it on the source file rather than the decompiled model. Could you send it to my email (chemikhazi at gmail.com) or when you see me on MSN?

    I fixed the scope but now i have some textures that arn't alinged proper, and my milkshape evaluation just ran out.
    If anyone else trys, all that needs doing, is the scope (not the mount thing in the middle) needs rotating 180 degrees.

    The verts that are selected in red, need rotating 180 degrees.

    Better to actually fix the UVW map methinks. Rotating the scope just messes with the skinners lightsources and things.
