I sometimes say "lol" instead of laughing.

When I went to spain for 2 weeks I spend over £2 to check the NS forums quickly on the hotel PC.

I bought my PS2 at the airport on another holiday to Spain. I spent most of the holiday playing the MGS2 demo and I completed Monkey Island 4.
I only went onto the beach opposite our Hotel when I was forced to by my parents.

Spend too much time on the Net during my summer vacation.

Beside that, I'm not geeky. You may rejoice now.

Same. Then I realize what i've just done...

I also randomly say 'Its Denton, remember the briefing!' and other classic Deus Ex lines. :-D

[/Edit] I suck at typing.

Yeah, I've Lol'd and roffle'd outloud before and thought... if that was funny then why didn't I actually laugh?

I've already cleared it with my boss so that I can take 3 days of my holiday just after HL2 comes out... buying a brand new PC for it too.

When I lost access to the internet for ages I actually went through withdrawal symptoms.

I once had an asthma attack and the first thing that occurred to me as my breathing went was LAG!

Lan parties make me feel like I've finally come home.

I used to cap flags in my head, going through each individual route in my head in turn.

My hands automatically move to sit on wasd on a keyboard (probably the same with you lot).

I should be working and instead I'm on a forum talking about a computer game which I've not played in ages cos I don't even have a PC at the moment.

I was met a really girl whilst on holiday who likes playing counter-strike... the question is why did I bring up computer games while trying to chat her up! (I further compounded the problem by discussing radiohead, luckily she turned out to be a really pretty geek too, unfortunately from Germany so too far to have a relationship, luckily I've already got a girl so I don't care ).

Yes.

I'm such a gaming geek it's untrue. I hum gametunes whenever I'm whistling or bored, I always notice PC sound effects being used in other things (films usually, for example there's one in Return of the King from Magic Carpet). Oh, and I spend time at work pretty much every day viewing a forum about a mod for an over 5 year old game....

My mobile phone ringtone is the Monkey Island theme.

I have touched myself up while thinking of a drawing.

I'm a closet geek. Unfortunately, that means I'm very boring to be around, because I don't let people know the things that interest me, interest me, if you see what I mean. So I do all my geeky things when I think noone's around.

teh geekiest thing i do is when im out side im always alert for skulks and when i see a cat, i say racatacacacacaca!! die! and if the kitty runs away, i chase after it lolz.

I have a question.

Is being able to design the Firebat's flamethrower concept from scratch geeky?

I also called myself Twoflower for a while. That's quite Pratchetty geeky.

I planned my material usage and MAG feeding regimes in PSO to make sure I had the best Force possible.

I wouldn't say calling yourself after a Pratchett character is geeky - no more than calling yourself after any other book or movie character, anyway. Unless you mean renaming yourself Twoflower in real life, which would be scary.

I have already used 'lol', when I was supposed to chuckle. And when I happen to be writing something on a piece of paper, I keep wanting to press ALT+S, because I'm afraid the paper will crash.... *sigh*

I sometimes argue with things just to see what reactions i get off people, like in school i started screaming at my table and got up and punched it and stuff. That was fun.

Watching Saving Private Ryan in school (history class, woo), when the sniper died i jumped up and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" because he kicked too much **** to die.

I really don't like crowds so if I have to walk through a crowd, i start twitching my neck and mouthing songs (rap songs work best because it looks more like you're talking to yourself rather than singing) and people really do move out of your way.

Those are more weird than geeky i guess. The most geeky thing i've done was when watching The Day After Tomorrow, there's a bit where they walk into a room and the whole room is covered with ice and snow (so it's all white) and i remember thinking "WTH they couldn't be bothered to texture the model?"

Here in Iceland every license plate contains two letters and three numbers.
http://bilasolur.is/bisImageServer.aspx?im...size&watermark=
When I'm alone, bored, in the middle of nowhere with alot of cars around I sometimes try to find abbreviations from games in their license plates. Like PG 359 "ah, a phase gate!" TK 442 "oh, a teamkill" or SG 825 "whooo, a shotty!" Something I've never admitted to anyone.

As a recovering EQ addict, I feel you there.

Faked sick at least 3 times over the 6 months I played EQ to skip school and play.

Edit: The above post made me think of something.

I work at a grocery store as a cashier and every time I see the change or tender due $13.37 it makes me giggle uncontrollably. People look at me weird and ask me what's up, and I just say nothing and suppress it. The people I work with ask me about it too and I just say I was reminded of something earlier.

Yeah, if you're ANY KIND of geek you'll think Stormtrooper. Otherwise you just play too many video games. That makes you a teenager, not a geek.

Then how do you define a geek? I consider myself a Star Trek geek. I didn't have any idea about that TK 442 stuff. Does that mean I'm not a geek at all?
