Hotkeys As Commander

I've been playing ns since 1.0, but I'll be darned if I know what all the hotkeys are. Is there a list of something I can check out somewhere? As well, how do you tell your marines to pick up equipment at way point or guard targets etc?

    q= buildings
    w= advanced
    e= support
    r= equipment

    for the rest just put ur mouse over the thing u wanna drop and a little letter will come up in brakets...

    to make them gaurd something, click on the structure or marine u want them to gaurd perfectly aswell... i luv making noobs wp's themselves! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    The keys do not correspond to individual items, like they did in 2.0 and earlier. Now they just correspond to the location of the buttons on your screen. So F will always select the item that is in the middle and to the left, doesn't matter if you have the Equipment or the Buildings menu open.
    The keys are by default
    QWER
    ASDF
    ZXCV
    It's quite useful.

    select people then hold crouch and press one of your slots (1-5) to assign squads (1-5).

    also if you have people selected and want to select someone else into that group.. hold crouch and select the new person and it wont cancel the old selection.

    Hi,

    You can customize the hotkeys:
    Go to options -> multiplayer -> advanced -> (scroll down) commander hotkeys -> change "qwerasdfzxcv" to whatever suits you best. That simple!!

    These are the orders you can give (besides 'go to waypoint'):
    - <b>Weld at waypoint</b> (by clicking on the weldeable, it sometimes takes several clicks to activate it properly. But after some practice it gets easier to click)
    - <b>Pick up equipment at waypoint </b> (very hard to achieve because of what I heard: it is just one pixel to activate. Some servers have a pluggin that makes it a lot easier to activate.)
    - <b>Defend building</b> (you cannot do this with all the buildings. You activate it by clicking on the appropriate building)
    - <b>Enemy nearby</b> (not easy to activate but possible. Just click on the enemy after you have scanned the area).

    Slightly OT:
    There's actually an AMX plugin that fixes all the WP bugs, and adds a "Guard area" WP. I don't know the specifics, but it just generally makes it easier to get the equip, weld, and enemy near by WPs.

    If you are starting out getting used to using Hotkeys the best ones to get used to are for meds and ammo.....

    Even just selecting the group from the menu on the rught then pressing the corresponding button over the map makes keeping your marines alive alot easier.....

    A = Ammo
    S = Meds
    D = Catalyst

    That should be all you need to know. Just look at the pictures at the bottom right, and press the key.

    Edit: Besides going to alerts and selecting all soldiers, lol
