<div class="IPBDescription">Hack the planet!</div> With the posting of the mindless, yet challenging jumper, I decided to post somthing that is not quite as mindless, and challening from a diffrent standpoint. J00. J00 r l337 h4x0r. However, j00 are only a n00b 1337 hax0r at first. U51ng c45h fr0m c0n7r4c7s, j00 hax0r must make moneys for better programs, and hardware. However, mainframes are of course full of ICE countermeasures that would simply love to kick you out, or worse. The graphics are a little poor, but considering this guy is a programmer and not an artist, I think he's done a pretty good job. Note that the screenshots on the webpage are actually outdated.

Think ADOM lite for tech geeks.

No my friend, he based it mostly off of Shadowrun, an excellent Table Top RPG by FASA

Lifestyle upgrades allow you to increase the max difficulty of your missions by increasing the maximum threshhold of your rank. If your rank is max, lifestyle upgrade. Otherwise, don't. And no, there is no technical end, at least I don't THINK so.

You have to evaluate the files to get usefulness out of them.

Evaluating clues puts a red box around your target node.

Password makes all deceive checks within the system a little easier until you log out. Clues, when analyzed, highlight the node with the contract target in red.

    Excellent background, yes.

The rules make the GM want to pluck his eyes out using a toasting fork then serve them sizzling in their own juices to a pack of hungry hyenas, while he bastes himself in BBQ sauce.

Yes, I've run quite a few SR games. Yes, the rules end up being horrifically mutilated for a lot of tasks. (Vehicles!!!!!) *dies*

is there anywhere where it explains which actions are linked to which skills/programs? some of them are obvious, others are less so...
  • RaVeRaVe Join Date: 2003-06-20 Member: 17538Members
You can simply press F1 ingame.

That will bring up the Help menu (obviously) but you have to click on contents because it susually holds the information you don't need. Just scour the contents for what you need.
