Err, no. Java is slow. There is no exception. It's an interpreted language. It has to load the interpreter into memory first, then interpret the bytecode. Not only that, it has built in garbage collection, which polls the program every so often looking for unused variables, which slows it down even more. It's hard to get a language slower than java. If any given java program runs at an acceptable rate, it's either because the program is so simple that your computer can handle the bloat, or...
No, wait. That's the only reason.
And even in that case, the java version of that simple program is tremendously slower and larger and more bloated then the same program written in almost any true compiled language.
But Azerus is a simple program anyways. It barely uses any CPU. Azerus is much more bandwidth intensive.
And it has a ton of cool features, auto updates, and is really easy to use. You just leave that puppy on overnight while it handles your torrents. No mess, no fuss.
I vote Azerus. I used to use ABC and was generally happy with it, but then one day it got bugged somehow (I forget what I did and what caused it to stop working) and I couldn't get it fixed even after several reinstalls. So I gave up and looked for a new one and after trying 5 or 6 I decided Azerus was my favorite. Now, I'm much happier with it than I was with ABC.
