Crazy-odd Dream

Since group therapy is ALL the rage...
Ok, I've been having the oddest dreams as of late, most of them I can't remember to well. But I had one last night that was especially odd, and seemed to mean a lot at the time, and even if it didn't I just wanna tell people because it was weird.

Ok, it starts out that I'm driving down the road in my crappy Ford Escort (that I got pulled over in yesterday) with my sister and her boyfriend (who is in the Marines right now) and an ex girlfriend of mine. It's a really long country road, and I'm not sure where we are supposed to be going, but I'm driving anyways. After a while we all stop into a gas station/resteraunt on the side of the road, and go in to get something to eat. There is no menu or anything in this resteraunt, but all the people I Was driving with already know what to order for some reason. I didn't know what to get, so I ordered a hamburger since I figured that a place like that is bound to serve hamburgers. After we all eat and go outside to the car again, somebody randomly delivers a package to me, and inside is a flying scooter type thing, so I fly away on it and end up at my house.

When I get to my house there are a bunch of people on my porch, all peopel I know from school that I havn't seen in a while since I graduated about 3 weeks ago. Not all of them are even people I liked that much, just people I knew. We sat around talking for a while, I don't remember what about, then I got bored and decided to fly around some more. I decided to fly over to my school that I just graduated from to see my old Electrical Trades teacher (since now I'm actually working as an electrician). Since it was the middle of the night and it was summer, he was not there. So I flew around the school for a while, from the outside it looked like my school, but on the inside the layout was way different, with wide hallways and lots of plate glass. I went back outside and flew up as high as I can, just barely breaking through the clouds.

At this point I have to say how vivid the experience of flying was. For some reason it just seemed to so real, and it was such an awesome experience, flying around, I could even feel the cloud as I broke through it collecting water droplets all over me. Then I broke though the clouds, the sky was beautiful and the air was cold and crisp, it was all so real. It was a huge rush, and I can't really explain it other than that.

So as I'm coming back down from flying really high, I noticed that the school was in a really weird place, it was in a huge desolate valley, with no buildings or roads nearby, and very few trees. As I got closer to the ground, I noticed that a bunch of peopel were coming out of the school. As I got closer, I could see that it was the school marching band (which I was part of, yay for geekyness) that was at the school in the middle of the night for some reason. I went down there and said hi to all the people I know in band, I was very glad to see them, then another ex of mine showed up (he was in band also, so I was expecting to see him), and we talked for a little while. The entire time we were talking I had the greatest urge to tackle him and make out or something, but we just talked for a while. When he left it made me sad, cuz I havn't seen him in weeks, and there is a distinct possibility I may never see him again (another long long story). Then my ex who I just broke up a few weeks ago showed up (seeing a pattern?) and she made fun of me for not doing what I was thinking of doing with my other ex. Then I got very angry and hopped on my flying scooter, and then I woke up.

I was very happy when I first woke up, because whenever I fist wake up I always think the dream that night was real, because they are always so realistic. I was very happy that I had the chance to see all my friends and ex's again, and I was still awed over th experience of flying. Then I realised it was just a dream, and got kinda sad that it was.

Thus ends my tale of flying, nastalgia, and mild homo-erotisism. Discuss.

I know what it's like to think a dream is that real. Sometimes i wake up and think "Oh it was just a dream..... but at least i still have my fantastic car!" and then i remember that that was part of the dream too then i cry. And i had this dream where my best friend died (we were a duo in WW2 behind enemy lines for some reason) and when i actually woke up she was the one who woke me up and i hugged her and cried and she laughed and... oh, i'm rambling.

I wouldn't know what to make of your dream. It's weird, but that's what dreams are. You said you had a lot of weird dreams lately, is there anything that connects them all together (like the ex's showing up)?

The ex's thing seemed to be the theme of this particular dream, but the only thing connecting my dreams lately has been that there are a lot of people that I know in them, like crowds of people. Usually my dreams only involve a small group, like the first part of this dream, but recently they have had tons of people I know, random aquantanaces, people I hate, people I like, just LOTS of people.

I don't think that dreams really mean anything most of the time, I would bet its just your brain doing something that it wants to think about. So kick back and have fun.

That could be, but a lot of the people that show up I really don't miss, cuz I didn't like em that much or at all.

There's a lot of things to consider about "missing" someone, though. There's a few people i really didn't like from my school but i still miss seeing them every day. How long is it since you finished school btw? It could just be that you miss the "school experience" as a whole.

Dreams are usually a smattering of what occurs in real life, jumbled about and rearranged, so lemme get my crystal ball and try to interpret...

    //grabs crystal ball

    //shakes crystal ball

//throws crystal ball at nearest hard blunt object

Okay nevermind the warranty was out on that thing back in the BC years anyhow.

Lesse, it starts off with the car that you got pulled over in recently, might mean that your worried about getting a ticket or something of that nature, or you were just consolidating that in memory. Your sister her boyfriend in the back, your worried about them and want to look out for them I presume. The main worry is that your sisters boyfriend is in the marines and something may happen, so thats the prime concern there I assume. The long country road may signify the road of life, you not sure where your going could indicate that you dont know in which direction to steer your life (career paths, education, relationships, etc) but your forging ahead until things clear up.

Pulling over to the servo could signify that you need/want/have had a break, or at least something to break the mood. Everyone knows what they want to eat except for you, could be further signification that you dont know where your going or are unsure of things in your life. You go for the humdrum everyday option (hey, it isnt that bad ).

The package could be something unexpected having happened, the scooter I have no idea (drivers license?).

Anyway, you fly back to your house. Everyone of them you know, either very well, or just vaguely. All of them are from school. This means you kind of miss school (dont crucify me, please) and the people there. Dont worry, I had the same feeling when I left high school as well and I still want to talk to some old aquaintances. The talking and getting bored part may be you not finding the thing that you are looking for with that group of people and searching elsewhere for it.

Flying back to the school reinforces my supposition that you do miss school somewhat (even if you hated school, it's still possible to miss it ). The altered layout for the school I'm at a loss to explain. It could signify change. It could signify what you think the school may look like in the future, I'm not to sure.

The flight into the clouds may have some significance. It could mean that you wish to break old barriers (clouds, gravity, ground) and achieve your dreams (flying). Of course, this could be your subconcious minds way of saying "OMG TEH AWESOMEZOR!"

The school being in a huge desolate valley could signify that you've just come to the realisation that life is not easy and that only people close to you (family, friends) are there to genuinely look out for you. I'm unsure as to what the marching band in the middle of the night might mean. Saying hi to all the people is once again you missing school and the people there.

The rest of it I'll leave open to you since your the only one that knows your relationships better then anyone else.

    I'll part with a disclaimer.

    DISCLAIMER:

I might be wrong about some, most, or all of what I said above. Some of me may have imprinted onto my interpretations without me realising so if some of that doesnt sound like you it's probably me getting lost there somewhere. I am NOT an expert at this stuff, dont take ANY of it to mean anything of significance as there is an incredibly high chance that I may be wrong. I dont know you personally, nor well enough, to make any kind of accurate conclusions on to what bits of the dream mean what and I mean that.

In final summation, your close to a complete psychotic breakdown and will likely go on a murderous rampage of squirrels anytime soon. Dreaming is not for everyone, please, consult your doctor

But if it sounds right and helps you, enjoy, worst that can thing that can happen is you take it to heart and end up making life changes that TOTALLY screw you over, so nothing to worry about

Which is why I said that I may have been wrong about some, most or all, of it, never claimed to be right in any way shape or form and made use of the word Assume, presume, and other words of that general nature as well as claiming to be inexpert at interpreting dreams. Well since I'm pretty sure I was never a dreamscooter jockey (although I did handle that thing like a pro), I'm agonn ahave to agree with the whoel "I miss school" thing, and I guess I should have guesse that. I miss the peopel more than the actual conept of school, it's only been 3 weeks since school ended and already I find myself to be an almost desperately lonely person.

Although I would say you're wrong about my concern for my sis' bf. I hate the man witha passion. I honestly hope he gets shot (Zig, if you ever happen to meet the guy, feel free to use him as a human sheild).

You think YOUR dreams are wierd? I had a dream where I was having sex with a chick and then she goes "oh yes, Optimus Prime!" and I am like "..." and then I start going faster...

Freudian analysis concludes that you secretly harbor incestious desires towards your mother.

    On a serious note:
In regards to the school, whether you miss your classmates or not, your mind has been in a fairly unchanged routine for the past 4 years and now all of a sudden that has stopped. That probably has something to do with it.

Don't even try to out-weird me in sex dreams. The first dream I EVER had sex in that I can remember, I had sex with a hippo that was an assassin sent to kill me by crushing me during sex because I was helping a group of gnomes that whoever sent this hippo didn't like.

I think I have my own home grown interpretation....

I think the overall encompassing concept is that you're realizing that you don't know what you're going to do with your life and you see that the world is full of nothing but possibilities. That being said, here's why I think that.

Driving but not knowing where you're going is easily identifiable to the concept of just copying what everyone else is doing when you're not sure what you're supposed to do. This is also backed up with how your party knew what they wanted at the stop but you didn't.

The fact that your ex, your sister, and her bf are in the car with you is sort of like you considering the idea that you were supposed to grow up just like all of them, and possibly that you were *supposed* to grow up whilst maintaining that last relationship.

The scooter shows that you have denied their paths in life and want your own. The gathering of people from school is you evaluating their path choices. Your trip to school is reaffirmation that you can't live life the old way (the fact that it's night and your teacher wasn't there).

The meeting with the school band is the realization that other people you hung out with are just as lost as you are (them being there at night).

The scooter ride was symbolic of you either evaluating your options, or playing out your desire to "taste" life.

Nuh uh..... this once, in a dream of course, the girl i fancied/had a crush on at the time was, for some reason, a Television set. Yet we still had sex.

I won't go into the details but the TV was technically correct in every way (apart from it could talk). So God knows how the hell we.... yeah.

Anyway, [WHO]Them, could you post in here or PM me exactly why you think those things? I'm not disagreeing with you, i've just always been interested in dream analysis and how people can recognise subconscious things from seemingly innocent stuff.

I can't go into detail beyond what I've already supplied. I just spend a lot of time trying to dissect my dreams (I've got some doozies that still confuse me to this very day) and have a very strong bond with my subconcious. So, the underlying level below what I've talked about can only be referred to as pure intuition.

    EDIT: shortened quote.
