[wip] Buster Sword

<div class="IPBDescription">Cloud's Weapon from FF7</div> Check it out. Here's a buster sword i made for the knife =D. What do you guys think so far? I have not done the smoothing groups yet so thats why the top has black and grey faces. I'm lookin for a mesher, if anyone would like to do it.... feel free to reply.

PC: 1019, mostly from the handle.

    sry for double post but here is another pic with the wire frame. also i resized the handle because the first one was too long.

    everything looks exactly the same on the back except the blade is flat on the other side.

    its meant to be the buster sword from ff7 that cloud uses.
    FF 7 was b4 nightmare used his crappy sword.

    The Souldblade could kick that swords **** and nightmare could do thate same to cloud.....

    anyway that is an awesome model in my eyes not being a modler i wouldnt know whats wrong with it but its lookin good even though i dould use huge swords and stuff for knife models

    The handle of that sword is perfect on my comparisons i made. But the point of the blade is slightly longer. And apart from the swords blades wireframe looking a bit messed, its well on its way to a great run.

    Will we see this as a NS mod or is it a display show-off?

    sry i dont know how to flip normals. could you plz explain. I just used the face tool in milkshape.

    lol its not for a mod, its just a replacement model for the knife.

    Cloud > Nightmare.

    sry for double post but here is the 3ds file if anyone would like to fix some face errors and add smoothing groups.

    also could someone mesh this whenever the errors are fixed =D

    edit: ignore the 1st image, the 2nd image is the right one. 1st one had a way to long handle.

    You can fix them urself in milkshape...I think.

    If u select the black faces, there should be an option somewhere to "flip normals" or something similar.

    i cant find anything about the normals in milkshape. I'm using 1.6.5. Is the option in 1.7c ?

    heh, i just figured out how to make the smoothshaded of a model flat and add smoothing groups. lol never noticed that there was a face tab.

    still dunno how to flip normals, but here is another image of the sword with smoothing groups.

    heres the ms3d file with smoothing groups. sry cant give the 3ds file because when i exported the model in milkshape, the smoothing groups turn into 1 big group and i cant export the model in lithunwrap because the whole thing will be flat shaded.

    *can someone flip the normals or give me a tutorial of how to do it please =D

    FIX THOSE VERTICIES!!!!

    It's a nice model yes, but those black faces? means they're looking the wrong way, select em and hit reverse vertex order, and then it'll be leet.

    lol i was trying that earlier but it didnt work. heh, i upgraded my milkshape to 1.7 and now it works. guess there was somethin wrong with my 1.6.5 version. when i try to export it out of milkshape as a 3ds file, the smoothin groups get all messed up. anyways here is a pic of the ms3d file.

    it the most easiest model to take apart, and i can do everything but i dont know how to do those little half-speheres

    Spehirecal thingy dont do it well nuff and it still streaches....

    Although many poeple have drawn it Dark grey, the in-game footage shows a horrible but distenct Pale yellow. Udder has interpreted this as gold doesnt really matter..

    Also Materia in the slots would look horrible IMO...

    on the freakin box it's even dark grey, i've never once seen it that pale yellow, not in battle or anywhere. I dont know how it got that way...

    actually on the box it's a silverish colour, still not yellow. every where else i see it its a dark grey. Plus i personally dont think the gold suits it
