The game is aesome, it suffers from some severe friendly fire problems (you really can't have FF ona top down shooter, it just don't work), there are some marine selection bugs, and you can only have a max of 8 people on a server so everyone can play. Voice acting is a little....wierd. But overall I love this Mod to freakin death

I've beaten mission 2 as well, currently stuck on the Research one. Our group had a really good strat, but then two dropped and we had to contend with freaking morons that went around flamethrower-ing us, so after a while we just called it quits. Fantastic game, though. Everyone with UT2004 needs to get it. Wonderful co-op with a bunch of pals.
I need to play this coop... it's pretty fun but I hate having an AI group and having to switch teammembers half the time. Playing coop based on that though sounds like a blast ^^ I prefer wildcat but I'd love to be a medic... if faith didn't look both stoned and horrible I'd probably play her =P
For some reason I've totally failed to join every single server I've attempted... just sits there with "ut2k4://62.085.912/monkeys" or something and doesn't do anything. That or it says the server is full despite player readout saying 3/6 when I refresh it =P

You have marines on the ground, bit like starcraft except closer up and more detailed and smaller environment. By holding the mouse over an enemy and pushing your fire button, you shoot where you point, and hurt the enemy(dont worry, the aliens are as frail as in AvP and do nowhere near as scary damage). There are different weapons and items, and, pretty cool, a welder. For shutting and opening doors. Also, some weapons have autoaim which lets you hit aliens even when not holding the cursor over them - but you do less damage than if you <i>do </i>hold the cursor over them. There is also stuff like throwing flares, giving the weapons that don't have autoaim a small amount of autoaim.
It's really quite fun.
EDIT: Draconis, in the room where you find the guy, there are 2 exits. The one you just opened, and another sealed, to the north. Open the northern one and go that way.
we should make an IRC room so we can arrange servers and stuff and check out who's up for a game =D
y'know... something like #nsswarm or something easy to remember ^^

I'm Kexop, but I've not been able to connect to a stable server so far. Been able to spectate a few games for about 7 minutes or so at a time, but then I get a lag timeout or I'm kicked or something. Pity you have to be there at the start of the level in order to play.
I hate the AI with a passion. I think this'll be very fun once I can play it with others, but as it is right now... ugh.
I also wish there was a "no friendly fire" version. Maybe next patch one'll be included. For new players, like us, like everyone I think, FF gets really really tricky.

hey! I only TKed Commando and only because he was being annoying on purpose. He could've easily went wolfe =P I never killed anyone else who went her, Agent Orange for example but that's because he did it nicely instead of being a jerk about it.
Besides, that aside I almost never hit anyone with friendly fire, no matter how determined they are to jump infront of me while I'm on full auto ^^

I haven't seen eny Nsers so far, but i seen some few nice players(qtr) and played with the beta-testers to(chainsaw and somebody else i don't remember). I beated whole game on MP & SP.. Btw You Can Get Akimbo Pistols if ya kill 20 aliens in 1 mission with just a pistol.
