    #1 Not sure (Heard it before though i'm sure)
    #2 Same
    #3 FF7 (Juno or Midgard reactor, could wrong though. Long time since I've played)
    #4 Almost definatly from a Soul Edge/Blade or Calibur game.
    #5 No clue
    #6 Rainbow 6 (?)
    #7-12 No idea

    Most of them seem familiar, but often I don't recognise them without the sound effects. Meh.

    Oh, A sound effect quiz would be cool too. I might do that later. Or someone else can. Feel free.

    1 sounds like a Warcraft game (I know I've heard that... I just can't remember where)
    4 is definately Soul Caliber 2

    lots of good answers, i will wait a bit before hinting further.

    The console tracks are #3 and #4, and they should be really easy.

    For #12, everyone in this forum has surely heard it at least once ^^.

    3 is definentley FFVII, 4 is definentley Soul Calibur 2, 6 is definenltey Return to Castle Wolfenstein, 11 is definentley Painkiller.

    I think #3 is from the submarine sequence during the underwater reactor.

    Anyway here are the solutions, all of them have been found!

    1. Warcraft 2 - human theme
    2. Homeworld
    3. FF7, the weapon strikes
    4. Soulcalibur 2; As soulskorpion i had to suffer that music for many hours in a LAN too ^^
    5. Serious Sam 2, the last level that lasts veeeery long with at least 1 gazillion ennemy to shoot.
    6. RTCW
    7. UT2K4, hyperblast-redux. That's the final stage in the single campaign.
    8. DK2, the Reaper attacks
    9. Stronghold
    10. C&C:Generals, China track
    11. Painkiller, City on water level
    12. Half Life, the ending

    Absolutely.

    It's probably the main reason I loved the FF series (well, up to 8...that was...meh.) The soundtracks were all amazing*
