Lots and lots of jumping, pistol does little damage to zombies, that's as far as I got. The dialogs are kinda weird though. Interesting, but is there a SAVE FUNCTION???
EDIT: Dialogs involve people talking and you responding with ]: ), : ) D :, : D : D : D, etc.
Runs beautifuly to me. I beat it in about 20 minutes. Not much AI, not very indepth, save for the barel throwing, and very short. However I did find some enjoyment in... oh wait that was just moderate enjoyment. And to think that you guys were saying "OMG THIS IS GONNA ROXORS!"

dissapointment.
<Necro> first of all it has "fits" <Necro> which make you just bash/waste ammo and run into enemies/death <Necro> and second of all it slides so on the strider boss u slide into the elec stuff
It's 40mb, correct? It tells me it's downloading @ 600kb/s... It's taking forever!!! At that rate, it should have been done in like... under 2 minutes...

That was a neat little game, but it got old fast. I'm kinda curious as to why they needed 40MB, unless that was all in the music and sounds. I've seen stuff almost as good as this on Newgrounds, and they've got a 5MB cap. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I must say that Gordon's dialog was quite impressive. I never knew he could emote so well. The opening scene with Barney was very moving.
It was lagging too much and it kept pushing me in the water. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The devs say you need at least 1,5 ghz to run it smooth because its all done in flash (no gfx card acceleration at all).
Without it, it laggs like hell when there are more than 4 enemies and controls go into a waiting queue, what makes gordon move ugly (jump/attack 20 times). dont even try to turn on flashlight with less than 1 ghz.
Nevertheless it looks good for a team of 4 german HL fans, cant believe they put THAT into steam <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

First and foremost, I'm not suprised they got it into steam... I mean, steam regularly is known for crap.... "pile of steaming sh*t"
Secondly, my computer is a 2.1 ghz, it should be able to run it fine if what you say is true... It doesn't. Not at all. Every time i try to fire the pistol and actually kill something (shoot like 10 times) or even just using the crowbar, it does as you said, and puts it into a queue or something, and i loose complete control...
I don't understand how they could be so idiotic as to use flash when it is obviously not working well, and I also don't see why they would ever try getting this put into the steam games menu, it frikken sucks.
my rant for the day, i believe i am going to go uninstall it now. -.-'

First off- if your going to insult steam, have a good reason. Its a DAMNED good piece of software now. It wasn't for about 2 weeks- woo. Stop following the idiot newbs and give a reason why you don't like it.
Second- while it does lag a bit, I STILL haven't "Lost Control" like you guys said. And I've got a P4 2.0ghz.
When I first noticed the slowdowns , I thought "uh , time to buy a new PC" , but apparently it's just caused by this sloppy flash. Moving and firing at the same time creates huge lag , as well as using ladders or the flashlight. I couldn't go further than level 4 , since I couldn't dodge the alien queen's plasma and shoot at it at the same time.

One thing I do in fact like about it though is the speed of the server listing... but this makes it much harder to find a good low ping server with good players (and regs). Back in 2.01, the HL server listing made it really difficult to find servers, thus, more people became regulars in servers, and there were less nubs... But then again, the nubs could also just be caused by the new release and all the new cs people finding it...
it also wasn't just two weeks that it was screwed up, and the friends thing still often has problems. Just installing it and trying to download the HL engine gave me problems, and that was just last week. (I'm not saying that's when I started NS, HD crashed and I had to reinstall)

Yup... I like the sprites, I like the idea of using the same controls, it's a noble idea, but in practice it doesn't seem to work well.
Shooting, Aiming, and moving all at once seems to really lag it up.
Also due to the mouselook thing, you do a lot of moon walking, which is another example of it being a noble idea, but not working so well in practice.
AMD Athalon 2400+ (2.0 ghz), and it runs perfectly fine for me. I just can't use my arrow keys for controls effectively, so I'm not bothering to play past the harbor.
If you're having trouble running it you can try upgrading your flash player, along with freeing up some system memory and processing power by closing unused processes.
...Then again, I have steam, winamp and internet explorer running and it still runs smoothly - and I only have 256mb of ram otherwise.
[steam is <span style='color:white'>This poor word fell victim to an admins 'Get yourself a new swearword!' campaign. Stop post nuking now! Call 1800 - BADNEM.</span> because it can cause random server crashes, it lags more than WON (for me, at least - but not really bad at all since I got back home, always under 100ms), and it wastes about 2GB of my Hard drive space... I feel those are legitimate reasons to hate Steam, but it's still okay so far to me.]

I wish they made a version for cell phones...
But the gameplay got old... You're not really missing anything.
ESPECIALLY the buggy boss battle. I just stopped playing after that.
