geforce 4 ti 4400..
i foujnd problems with splinter cell tho
Finally! I had to run it in OpenGL mode or switch the lightning detail to low which looks very poor, and in OpenGL there are texture errors every 5 ft.
Does anyone know when the drivers will be out ?
Btw, I seem to have the same error in Call of Duty. With the new driver the fps suddenly decreased from about 60 down to 2 frames per second. Can anyone confirm this error who has both games ?
I loved the almost glitchless Geforce 2 but anything better than 3+ always had a hell of a lotta gfx driver glitches.
The radeon is updated all the time and is kept at its best, the drivers making sure that 100% potential of the radeon is unleashed.
Hello Farcry resolution 1600x1200 full graphics and texture mapping!! <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just a taste of things to come
btw any 1 know if any tests between the new radeon and gf 6800?
Altough, they only say "an upcoming patch", but I would asume they meen 4.5.
Also, though it increases the FarCry speed slightly, the rendering errors are STILL there. It just makes them happen a little faster. :b Check out a number of the GF6 vs. X800 benchmarks, where the 'new' drivers are being used in a number of the tests, even against the old drivers. Most recommend NOT using the new ones.
You sure? wont it mean then that redeaons x800 XT will beat the **** out of nvidias 6800? Or be much better?
/sarcastic gasp
Owell. As long as I can run me my games, I'm happy.

I would guess that's one of the reasons that the recent GeForce parts are being beaten in sales by the new Radeons. (5900/9800)
which one do you have?
They already have. Its in every single 9000+ Radeon.
Whoa guy, don't say things like that. The geforce 6800 totally destroys the Radeon 9800 series. In fact they aren't even in the same league anymore, the X800 and the Geforce 6800's are in the same league and both of them are pretty equal except that Geforce is dominant in OpenGL and Radeon is dominant in Direct X games, etc. But even those are the first tests of beta cards, these cards aren't even out so I would wait a month for when these cards are truly tested.
Again, don't post unless you KNOW what you are saying. I know I sound mean but you made the new Geforce cards sound like crap even though they aren't.
Aside from that, I plan on just picking up a 9800 Pro a week from HL2's release date... no matter how far off that is. Maybe an XT if HL2 comes out this winter... but lets just hope for a Pro <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
WTH? Magical performance dust? Halo and UT2K3 run like ****.
Anyways, got the patch and I notice no difference - not that I need one <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->!
Far Cry = best single player campaign since Half-Life!
Kinda disappointing, really. Normally the company coming out with a new graphics core is the one who zips ahead in the benchmarks, and the one ramping up their old line is left trailing. Just makes y'wonder what'll happen next generation, when it's ATi's turn. ^_^
And sadly, a number of benchmarks were invalidated... on the GF6 side. The new 'beta' drivers don't allow you to disable the trilinear 'optimizations'. It just shifts 'em around a little. Silly part is, they were trailing in those anyway.. should really just admit defeat on the image-quality side of things, and head back to pumping 600+fps in Quake 3 at 640x480x16. That'd turn a few consumers' heads. At least until they actually saw it.
And please note- I have a GeForce FX 5600 256mb. Thats right, GeForce. Not ATi. But I've faced the facts, as should you all- NVidia is dying. Jump ship boys, before you go down with her.
According to Tom's Harware, then new GeForce FSAA is superior to Ati's
