Anyone who has seen Pitch Black knows this movie will be awesome. I'm already putting it down as "Best Spinoff Movie Ever" in my book.

    Well, it still has the same writer/director as Pitch Black, so hopefully it will have the same look to it. Of course, when the first movie came out, it was hardly noticed because it had no big name actors in it at the time, but now Vin is a bigger star. I will go see it, and hopefully it doesn't dissapoint me.

    Pitch Black was the second "scary" movie I ever saw and liked (The first being the best I have seen so far, "Event Horizon")

    It sounds fun, but I hope they don't cheese it too much.

    I just saw this tonight when I went to watch Van Helsing.
    It looks good, took me by surprise a little tho, it's a neat concept. Like a sequel, or prequel....but not.

    So I suppose Pitch Black would be worth renting... I might check it out the next time I go to Movie Gallery.

    And what's wrong with The Rock? Being a wrestler does not automatically make someone a bad actor. I've only seen him in The Scorpion King, and his performance wasn't exactly award winning, but it was far from bad.

    only movie i liked vin deisel in was saving private ryan cuz he didnt have that macho thing goin on, which despite his size, seems cheezy on him

    Pitch Black is awesome. I liked the preview, I don't remember if I saw it before buying the DVD. The movie is awesome (DVD's not all that great, just one or two crap extras). I also like Radha Mitchell's acting in the movie (and with a character's last named shared with a Futurama charachter...yay for weird, useless stuff).

    It's cool sci-fi, but I don't think it's by any means scary <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> . Event Horizon was scarier...but that only had a couple of 'boo' scares (like in the green conduit thingies) - actually I vote it as my scariest movie for the wrist slitting (*shudder*, but not scary)...but that's not really much high praise, since it, too, isn't really scary. Both pretty good movies though.

    Chronicles of Riddick looks...okay I guess. I think he tries slightly to hard to be tough, and then it just doesn't look right when he needs a scene that doesn't.

    Game looks pretty nice though - not worthy of a buy, but playable.

    Using a slightly different perspective.. vin is very cute. Putting that aside I did like Pitch black, and I was so lucky to see the trailer back in March.. (Have to love RadioShack demo DVD's) so.. I will go see it when it comes out. I did like Vin's character in Pitch Black.. :-)

    Try the original ring...I've only seen the original, but heard the American remake is absolutely terrible.

    Pitch black was one of the only 2 movies that Vin Deisel was actually good in, the other being saving private ryan. I'll be interested to see weather they can hold true enough to the character in this movie, I suspect however it will adopt Vin's bluky tough guy persona however. Riddick is a far cry from the characters in any of Deisel's recent movies.
