In fact, my original sensitivity was 10. I just sucked...completely, going 0-9 on a pub server is pretty pathetic.
I upped it to 35, and now, I can at least maintain a 1-1 kill ratio. I can usually keep my cool, unless some skulk cloaks in front of me, leaps, and bites, then yeah, I usually freak out and my mouse goes flying.
But other than that, I can control my motor reflexes to the point where my aim is stable and chaotic. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> 35??!?!? WTH
1.8 in NS 2 bars along from 0 in windows No Acceleration Mx510
I can do 90 degrees with 1 wrist movement, & 180 if i use my forearm.
I would prefer to double that sensitivity for NS, but it messes up my CS play, so I just keep them the same.
It makes close combat quite hard, but you get used to it.
When I have used a higher sens I have been godlike with skulk and shotgun, but when I went to play a CS match I flopped <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Can I remind you that sensitivity varies greatly from machine to machine. As far as I know, it has to do with your windows sens, your mouse with software, and maybe even your grapic- or motherboard.
Basically, you should be able to swing 360 degrees from one side of your mousepad to the other. In this case you dont loose "turnability" and still have somewhat sens. I saw a huge mousemat about twice the size of a normal one...puts more strain on your arm,b ut increases accuracy a fair bit.

Windows effects your in-game sensitivity so its going to be different.
This guy is talking about basically halving your current sensitivity. Since this is relative to everyone he has a valid point.
I play with 4.1 sensitivity and decently low sensitivity in windows. I can get about 1.5 turns if I jump and spin my mouse. I find higher sensitivity harder to aim with. You can turn better yes, you can rotate better ect, but you can't get that perfect stopping to a specific spot aiming like you can with low sensitivity.
and mostly a ratio of 5-1 (or more) but you must see me spinning with my mouse evrywhere over my steelpad <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This is awesome! It solves all problems with having high sens but having low sens when you need it.
THis post may not make much sense, but what ever.

Brilliance!
In fact i used to have one of 1.4, i only upped it to improve my skulking.
You just have to use a larger mousemat, and in the long run it improves your marine game greatly.
