Is There A Way To Change The Comm Sensitivity?

<div class="IPBDescription">I prefer my RTS games to zoom fast ^^;</div> Is there a way to change the Comm's scroll speed?

I hate how it scrolls so slow. Even though this isn't an APM game (Action per minute, Al la Warcraft), it would still be helpful to be able to scroll faster.

The reason I'm asking this is I heard that it could be done, but I don't know how to do it.

You can click on the minimap

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Yeah, generally detouring your mouse to the minimap and clicking is the fastest way. I use Spacebar a lot to go to alerts. Just keep one hand on the commander hotkeys and bang away on the mouse.</span>

I know you can click on the mini map, but I'd prefer a fast scroll speed, it would help when dropping meds and stuff.

I agree, have a similiar problem because my base windows sense is low. If I set my NS sense to 300-400ish it works out okay, so I guess binds of the like are a solution. Its just annoying when you hop out and have to remember to hit that bind again <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

make a bind that adjusts your sensitivity....just push it whenever you get in the CC, and again when you get out...

could probably easily make a script to do so...dunno

Oh I thought this topic was to make some comms less sensitive. Some tend to over react and get too emotional. There should be a button to make them less sensitive <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> lol

If I would have read this sooner, I wouldn't have wasted 20 minutes trying his "Drop RT's near gestating gorges in 2v2 games" strat. Which ultimately failed.

Pull down your console (~). Type in <span style='font-family:courier'><span style='color:blue'>sensitivity</span></span> and hit enter. It tells you what your current setting is. Default is 3. A change of 1 whole is generally significant, but it is based on your windows mouse sensitivity. You can input decimals too. I play aliens with 6.1 and marines with 5.3, for comparison.

To change I have "kp_uparrow" bound to 6.1 and "kp_downarrow" bound to 5.3. To do this you type <span style='font-family:courier'><span style='color:blue'>"bind <key> sensitivity <value>"</span></span> where key and value are whatever you choose.
